Mood Studio — Local services in Middletown

Absolutely wonderful, the entire staff is kind and welcoming. I've been a client since 2022 and have gotten many services, mainly from Becca, Erica, and Michelle. I recommend this studio to everyone I know!

Becca is a star, I came to her as a postpartum mom that cut and colored her own hair. She made me feel like myself again, and gave my confidence back. Becca is so creative and I love all the colors she picked for my vivid hair color. We've done peek-a-boo rainbow, split pink&purple, and balayage with whatever color we're feeling that day. Becca takes the time to listen to my hair concerns and recommend products or techniques to achieve my hair goals. She also did my lash extensions, I was so happy with the experience. Everything was sanitary and Becca checked in periodically to make sure I was comfortable, and talked me through each step so there were no surprises.

Erica is incredible, she treats her staff and the clients so well. She did my microblading and it was a great experience. All equipment was clean/new/sterile and she took her time mapping out my eyebrows. I get so many compliments and Erica walked me through the healing process (and was available for any questions). Erica has done an amazing job at fostering an inviting and inclusive salon that makes everyone and every-body feel safe and welcomed.

Michelle is the most genuine person you'll ever meet and she will make your skin look beautiful. I've gotten a few different types of services, facials, waxing, brow tint and lash lift and tint. Each one was great and Michelle took the time to understand any concerns and address my issues. Michelle goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are comfortable/relaxed and I’d be lying if I said I didn't fall asleep during a facial before.

Mood Studio is an absolute gem, I love being able to get all the services I need in the same place and in a central location where I can meet a friend for coffee or a meal. Their vendor markets are also a wonderful addition and an easy way to support...

I've been going to Mood for years now, and I usually see a different stylist that I've always been happy with, but my work schedule doesn't line up with her availability anymore. This time I booked a haircut from Becca and its the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my life, I've been crying about it for days. I've been growing out my shaved head for a year now, and all I needed from her was a trim on the ends and some face framing pieces. I specifically told her that I was trying to even out the length, since the hair at the base of my neck was getting to be a lot longer than the layer growing out from the top of my head. I thought she understood because she told me she's gone through the incredibly painful experience of growing out a shaved head herself. She ended up making it so much worse I'm tempted to start all over and shave it again. I basically have a bowl cut mullet now. I never asked her to give me layers, I never asked her to touch any of the growth other than the longest layer, but she decided to hack into the side of my head like her eyes were closed. I've never written a bad review like this before but I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy. They ask for a reference photo when you first book the appointment, if she wasn't capable of giving me what i asked for i wish she had referred me to a stylist who can. They don't offer refunds so I won't ever go back to Mood...

There is no one else i would go to with my hair besides Becca. She gives me exactly what I ask for and even explains what she is doing before she does it. I have had some people cut my hair too short and ruin my hair before so it's very comforting to know that I can sit in her chair and trust her with my hair completely.

With all the times I have bleached and died my hair, I always worried that my hair would be damaged at the end but Becca makes sure that doesn't happen. My hair has been so healthy throughout the process of changing the color and I knew that if I went anywhere else, my hair would be fried.

She knows that with my busy life it is hard for me to take time out of the day to come in and is really patient with me when I have to change the appointment date.

I have been going to her for years and every time I go in it's like seeing my best friend. She remembers everything I tell her and asks how it's going every time and it makes me feel like I am very important to her and not just a client.

Not only has she does my hair but my husband's as well. He went from homeless to handsome in under an hour because of her. The best part is, I can trust her to not flirt with him while he is there lol.
