About 18 years ago, Ursel and her warm, friendly team framed a large, complicated item for me - an antique blueprint that I wanted to see the edges of, because the drawing gains authenticity from the fact that the edges are worn from use on a job site. They ended up "hinging" the delicate drawing onto a background and then building up mat board to create a shadow-box type frame. The frame itself is both handsome and appropriate. We used UV plexi to prevent degradation of the print . The framing job has held up perfectly through several moves, and the UV plexi has done an amazing job preventing contrast loss in a very unstable print type. The cost was very reasonable given the complexity of the job - much less than the snooty shops in NYC.
