Would have to say this is a horrible shop. Iâm sure they did help me on my journey with my bike. However, I brought in my bike for a time up and two new âheavy dutyâ tubes. Picked up the bike which cost a little over a hundred dollars. I then rode around the block came back hit the front brakes and all the air came out of the front. Took it back in they said it was a warranty issue and happens 1 out of 100. I then rode around again with the same thing to happen again. I was then told the holes for the valves were somehow different then should be. I had never had this problem in the past. Again they put in another it rode fine so I loaded up. Went riding that afternoon and got a flat. So back to the most negative people in Texas. Down faces and lack of positivity they had me wait till the morning. I came back and of course this time it was a sticker!! I didnât want to mention I had only rode on pavement but Iâm sure there could still be thorns on the road, what about the âheavy dutyâ tubes? I ride a demo 9 downhill bike and problems like this could really get me hurt. Anyways he fixed it and sent me on my way no charge! Awesome I felt great about it. So here I am at 5 in the morning trying to ride but I get a half mile away on pavement and another flat. Among my chain still grabbing and my brake being mushy after I was told to just pump and that would go away. I suppose I will do my own work from now on. 15 minutes in the garage and I have the tires off and taken out all the old thorns which Iâm sure is the cause of poor workmanship and the drive train lines back to peak performance! I plan to bleed the brakes to get tension back. Thanks to whoever runs this place for shedding light on shady shops. Obviously I was charged a bunch of money...
Read moreBest bike shop around! We moved to the area from Montana in 2017 and brought with us a stable of bikes (family of 4). I met Jason (current owner) at the Odessa MTB Park about the time he was taking over the shop. I casually mentioned my 7 year old wanted to get into BMX racing, and he was very enthusiastic and willing to help. A couple of months later, I asked for a bike, and Peytonâs had a nice custom BMX rig put together for my son.
I needed my older bike tuned up and they got it in right away for a good price.
My son was ready for a new MTB this year, and we were treated to great service and a fair price once again.
My most recent experience and purchase from Jason and crew was just this week. I had decided to transition from a spin bike to an indoor smart trainer for better workouts and more flexibility. Jason not only gave me a sweet deal on a smart trainer, but also picked it up from San Angelo and brought it to Midland for me to pick up. He offered to set it up for my current bike free of charge, but I ended up buying a sweet new Giant gravel bike the same day! He slapped on a spare cassette right in the shop and I was on my way.
Long story, but this place deserves it! Thanks again, and Iâll be back soon for my next repair, accessories, or...
Read moreEvery single one of the guys working here went beyond âabove & beyondâ! This was literally hands-down, one of the best experiences I think Iâve ever had shopping anywhere. The guys here are super helpful, very knowledgeable, beyond friendly, fast, and more than willing to do whatever it takes to meet your needs. I put a $700 down payment on an entry level full suspension giant when it was Peytonâs Bike Shop, just to hold the bike. Trek took over & I finalized the purchase through them. It was a night & day difference. They put on the new tires I upgraded to, grips, & pedals. It was a fast process so Iâm definitely happy about that. Iâll most definitely be coming back here again when itâs time for an upgrade. I donât even mind spending more to get a trek vs a giant just because of the very high level of customer service. Thank you guys so much! Iâll be back again for sure! And now youâve got an advocate for your business. Please donât ever change. I wish more places...
