This Macy's Milford, CT branch should seriously be ashamed of itself including the company as a whole not to add the Connecticut Post Mall; no wonder this mall is in the current condition it is..."Desolate" because the mall provides, supplies and institutes poorly run stores providing substandard service, inadequate assistance, rudeness on every level and an astonishing amount of unprofessionalism.
This Macy's should consider closing seriously, alone this store tarnishes the image and name of Macy's and what it once represented many, many years back. The staff is atrocious, rude workers that act as if their doing you a favor by assisting when it's their very job in providing customer service - disservice is what's provided at this Milford, CT branch. No worker looks happy instead they look excruciatingly pressed, past perturbed, bothered, underwhelmed, unamused, lethargic and not eager to do anything except provide ignorance and rudeness!!
No one and I mean no one goes above and beyond to provide and/or offer a helping hand, no form of assistance including an idea, a suggestion, a price check, a coupon, a free sample, NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The store doesn't even have bags regardless if you spend a $1.00 or $1,000 you can't even get a shopping bag to house your items for what you paid for and then they even have the audacity to charge you 10 cents when they do have a bag, Connecticut law clearly stated that they were doing away with plastic bags and instead stores would provide paper bags and if the customer chose and wanted a plastic bag then yes they would be charged but, of course not Macy's is doing the opposite and still wanting to get an excess of money while providing disservice and ignorance oh, and let's not forget how underwhelming the store looks.
There are no displays in the store - literally the store looks like it's in liquidation, everything is in disarray, disorganized, and dirty. There's things all over the place, let me not even start on the filthy bathrooms and the changing/fitting rooms -nothing in the store is put together, nothing in the store is intriguing, nothing in the store makes you want to spend money!!
The entire store should be considered backstage because everything looks like it's on clearance or on BOGO including the workers themselves! Macy's expects customers to seriously pay anywhere from $300+ to $1,000+ for cheaply made, manufactured clothing mainly consisting of cheap materials like pleather, polyester, etc., watered down perfume, cheap shoes and housewares, poorly made furniture, fake jewelry, etc. all of which can be found if not the same, similar and/or of better quality and wayyyy cheaper in other store like Boscov's, Burlington ,TJ Maxx, and Marshall's. The same coats they sell for $300+ you can get for $40-$60.
All the workers dress horribly, collectively they look disheveled and literally look like they rolled out of bed and decided to put on dirty clothes. - Everyone looks unkept, not dressed professionally and it's clear no time is taken in looking appropriate, decent and reminiscent of working in what was a reputable department store. Sponge Bob t-shirts, leggings, ripped jeans, uncombed hair, ill-fitting, tight shorts, etc. Is ridiculous and a total eye soar. This store needs a serious overhaul better yet, just close and do everyone a favor....
Read moreWe stopped in at this Macy's because my mother who lives in CT wanted to get me a belated birthday gift. Once my sister & I were ready to check out, we went to the Karen Scott counter. Another customer rudely cut in front of us but we were helped at the next register. When the lady helping the customer who cut in front of us finished with them, she promptly apologized to us on behalf of that customer. To make it up to us, the gentleman who was helping us, offered to give us a discount but we had another issue to contend with. It seems that the Macy's gift card receipt I thought I could use towards my purchase was issued to me incorrectly by a Macy's out in Seattle WA. The manager was called over & she, Michele, was amazing. She not only honored my receipt, but she threw in some discounts to again, make up for all the grief we were experiencing. I usually go in & out at these types of stores but it was so nice to be treated so well when an issue came up. I want to commend these 3 wonderful Macy's staff members (sorry I didn't catch the names of the other 2 folks) for demonstrating such excellent customer service. I will certainly revisit this Macy's next time I'm...
Read moreUpdate: i dont know whats up with this store and extreamly rude staff. Friday 10/4/24, i had to return a few items for a family member. I wasnt sure if the money would automatically go back onto their macys card. Instead of giving a simple awnser or explaining that yes it will do that, i was met with sarcasm and rude comments. As a store manager myself i would be disappointed in the staff for constant rude comments. Last Saturday 2/6/21 I went into the store to find something nice in the lingerie night wear isle and went to try it on. This older woman at the counter clearly staring me down and shaming me for what I had picked out with an aditude to try it on over my undergarments like duh, then ontop of that when I was going to purchase it after trying it on she once again glared at me and said with an aditude "if you're not gonna buy it put it on the rack" then points to the little clothing rack they had. I ended up not buying it because of the utter disrespect and body shaming I felt in thoes...
