A little over a month aga my husband and I went into Kay's to find a ring my MIL told me about. She said when she saw it she thought of me. Well a young man that working that night helped me find it and he was AMAZING! Kind, respectful and informative. We did not purchase the plan since the ring was not super expensive. We'll, I went back a week or so later just to see if maybe they have something I was looking for to go with it and the person I got treated me as a bother and VERY DISMISSIVE. I now know this person is a assist manager. Well not even a week later I noticed a stone was missing from my ring and the main stone loose. I told my MIL about it and how I was treated the last time, so she went with me and we had a wonderful girl help us. She found my receipt and told me it was a free fix since it was just recently purchased. Waited 3+ weeks recieved a call twice in two day to come pick it up. Ok I go in and at first treat nicely but turned sour fast since I was picking up a repair...the assist manager whom before treated me in great disregard now was trying to get me to pay for repairs, then asked for the original receipt which I did not have, but my license I did. She found the receipt since I told her the day of purchase. She then keep stating your need to purchase our insurance because next time "IT WILL BE $400 you understand " She stated this several times. When I told her no since the ring cost us nowhere near that price I do not need that. She basically said fine take you ring and walk off...That assist manager is a absolute disgrace. The others who work there are so kind, considerate, listen and treat the customer with respect. I did informed my husband of what transpired and we will NOT be back. My ring is very nice but not that expensive. We had plans in the future to get something nicer...now we will take our money elsewhere. Assist manager name is Debbie, as a manager your actions should be an example to those lower working their way up and not that of an...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went to Kay’s to window shop a couple months ago. I found a ring I loved. It wasn’t set in stone that I wanted that particular ring but my boyfriend wanted to get me what I wanted. It was obviously out of our price range and the only way we could afford it is if we sold his grandmas ring he gave to me. My fiancé decided to give me both rings and I decide what I wanted to do. He asked his mom if it was okay to sell his grandmas ring. That was not an option, which is totally understandable! She wanted to keep it in the family (It was his idea) we went back to Kays to explain we had to return the ring he bought and would like to have the diamonds from his grandmas ring on a new band. They treated us like we were the worst people on the planet for returning this ring. I am happy to wear his grandmothers diamonds but this salesperson treated me like I made the worst decision. After we did all the paperwork to get the diamonds transferred to a new band, the price was ridiculous!! They want over 3000 grand! And they wanted a crazy interest rate. Needless to say we took back the wedding band and are going to a local family owned jeweler that offered a much less rate for what we need. I don’t recommend this place if customer service is important. All they care...
Read moreDO NOT BUY FROM KAYS. My fiancé bought my ring from them, and when we shipped it out to have it resized, we waited 4 weeks when we were told two weeks return time. And when my ring finally did come in they neglected to call us or email us informing us of its arrival. Once we picked up my ring, I noticed a prong was sticking up on the side and when I brought it back in they had to send it out because there are no in house jewelers to fix it, so once again I had to ship my ring out. When we brought it back the people working in Kay’s were rude and acted like it was my fault that the prong was up and weren’t willing to own up to their slip up. Once I received my ring after two weeks of it “getting fixed” the prong was now sharper and when I called to ask what other options I have because clearly their fixers cannot do the proper job, they told me there was nothing else to do but to ship it back out. And once again did not own up to their problem or offer and apologies for this situation. If I were you I would save my money and go elsewhere to buy a ring. They are poor business people and have little respect for...
