Each time I have to visit the store I make myself ready to enter a sterile nearly lifeless shopping environment. Zero energy. Nothing to entice my shopping aside from sale prices and the promise of Kohl's Cash. The other day I came to the store to pick up an online order and stood in the online queue. The customer service window wasn't too busy which was nice. The gal behind the counter walks away, back turned to me and loudly announces, "Next in line." which I found disingenuous so stood patiently at the counter waiting for the clerk to return. At last, out she comes. Yay. She asks me to present information which is stored in my smartphone. She also asks me as she impatiently tends to some mundane task "is this a store purchase? Or online?" Quietly I'm a bit taken aback by the lack of logic presented to me by her questions. I'm standing in the Online Pickup window wondering why I bother to conform to these silly signs. With busy fingers I wend my way through the labyrinth of buttons and pages while also paying attention to the clerk who has grown impatient with my [perceived] fumbling for the info. "Let's go to plan B" she hurriedly extolls. I'm thinking what the rush is, lady. I'm the only customer at the counter. Pausing I look up and into to her eyes and remark, "No plan B" presenting the screen she so anxiously needed to scan. A little less coffee would be a smart choice to calm this neurotic customer service and thus, avoiding any more gaffes. Off she trots to retrieve my order. I watch as she pulls the merchandise out realizing I had ordered a screen-printed tee-shirt then stuffs it into a thin rectangular paper bag offering no thanks to me, the paying customer, whatsoever. As I turn to leave, I realize that the clerk may not have liked my leftist pin I was displaying on my shirt. Oh my. Could this be the reason she treated me so well? Decidedly I just kept walking holding my breath as I pushed open the door to the parking lot. Free at last. Ya gots to love...
Read moreThere was a lot of great sale items. The service was a bit frustrating. I. know that there is theft and crime, but my sister and I had over 500.00 worth of gifts we purchased. One was a big Pac-Man standing arcade game. We had multiple large box items, electronics and clothes. It was really heavy and asked if we could take cart to car and promised to bring back. All the lady kept saying is well we will be closing soon so yeah... and then took the cart and put it away. It was the cart we were using. We actually had a roller one and an actual cart. Both completely full. Our car was parked right outside. She could have watched us. We promised to bring it right back inside. We promised and said we would not leave cart outside. It's kind of rude, and there was five or more employees right there. We said OK, but maybe think a little bit more about customer service instead of closing the doors. It was super heavy and they didn't care at all. Not even help with door as we had to figure out how to carry all stuff out by hand We were not there past closing. It was super close, but we did pay attention to time and got checked out before closing. I saw other customers in store too as we were...
Read moreI only give this place 2 stars because of the fact that they accept Amazon returns after 8pm, if it wasn't for that they'd get zero stars. I went in today 1/20/2025 at about 8:30pm, and the customer service gets a 1 out of 10. A lot of the workers at the Amazon return section seem very socially awkward, maybe even a little autistic. I used to work with autistic kids (god bless their hearts) the workers here remind me of adult versions of them. They don't make eye contact, they whisper when they talk, they don't say "Hi, how's it going", they just look down like they're scared - like this is their first human interaction. Dallas and another Asian/Hispanic dude that work here give off all of these autistic signs. I think playing too many video games and watching super hero movies have really messed up some peoples brains. You guys have to get out and try hobbies, take up a sport that will help you socialize and be a part of a team. Anyways, I've been working hard not to lash out at people, I'm in therapy now, and leaving reviews instead of having the cops called on me is the best catharses that me and my therapist can find...
