EDIT #2: I went yesterday and exchanged the broken earring per the conversation with management. The options I had were very slim. I chose a pair that I was told were "probably bone or plastic". I asked how come she didn't know for sure and could she at least assure me that they were not glass and she said they were definitely not glass because they "sound different when you tap something with it"....um, ok. That seems like a legit way to test something. I also want to point out that there was a cost difference that I took the loss on. That seems strange to me. Typically when you return an item, you get the full amount back minus the cost of the new item...which would have been nice since I then purchased 2 ADDITIONAL lip rings. I bet I would have had to paid the extra amount if the exchanged ones had cost more.
I bet you are wondering why a second update? Well, my NEW earring broke...today. 28 hours after the exchange. This is beyond acceptable. I was told the first earring was from previous stock that was purchased with the store and that they are way more cautious about purchasing low quality products so things like this don't happen...I wonder what line I'll get this time? Needless to say I'd like my money back. The ORIGINAL amount I paid for the glass tapers (they were about $50). So Brent, what say you? This will require me driving another 2 hour round trip to make this happen? š”
EDIT #1: The manager Brent just called me and we have reached a satisfactory plan.
I wish I could do half stars because I'd rather do 2.5 than 2 (only because the person helping us in store was helpful) I'll start with the fact that the staff member was helpful and attentive to us, but only focused on us and other people waiting walked out (there was another person working but he did not come out from the back to assist the person helping us). The prices would be what I consider to be fair...if the jewelry hadn't broke in 2 weeks (we purchased the included pictured earrings and a stretching kit). I purchased a set of glass tapers and asked if they were durable and was told yes. I was doing my hair one day (by hand, no styling tools) and one earring just snapped. I called (March 30th) to see what my options were as I live up the mountain and didn't want to make the drive just to be told "no, we can't help". I was told I would get a call back...still waiting 5 days later. I'm including a photo of the earrings I purchased. The other half is currently still in my ear and I don't want to remove it until I have a replacement. Would love to be contacted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service is absolutely GARBAGE. I've gone in twice, and the first time it took forever to even be greeted. Both times it was the girl with neon green hair. She stood behind her little counter on her phone the entire time. I asked for help and she just told me to wait a moment. Once she finally said something after I had been going from various counters for about 10-minutes to actually help, she was rude and snappy and wanted to get me out ASAP.
The next time I had gone in, there was one other guest she was with. I didn't mind waiting, as the other guest had already been there, but she took her sweet time even though the other guest had sat down and was fine with the employee helping me. I went in for a single plain black piece of jewelry. She didn't have it in stock, and told me I was SOL because she didn't order it on her previous inventory count. Again, she wanted me in and out ASAP, and after I said I just needed one thing, she went back to the other couple she was working with prior. She helped them pick multiple other pieces of jewelry, try them on, adjust them, etc., and then offered them a rewards card. She even filled the entire rewards card for them just because they were "so nice". Both times I hadn't even been made aware that rewards were a thing at this business, because she was so desperate to get me in and out.
I spent a total of $25 for 3 pieces of jewelry from both visits, so the price is cheap. But she claims that everything is high grade surgical implant grade titanium, when it's all basically just stainless steel. Save your trip, you're much better off going literally anywhere but here. I would honestly rather go to Claire's the next time I need a piece of...
