Update: Taryn and her team at Carrot Top Designs have finished up the cabinets and shelves around the fireplace and in the laundry room. Every looks fantastic! Taryn did a great job helping me pick materials that would work well together and the result is amazing. I am very pleased with both the fireplace refacing and the new cabinets. It makes such a huge difference!

Chase and his team at Carrot Top Designs redid my fireplace. It started out as a typical builders-grade fireplace with a small white surround and mantle with floor tile cut into thirds inside the surround. Very typical for new construction. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't very pretty either. The team came in and removed everything, evened up the fireplace face, tiled the whole front with a pretty marble herringbone tile, and later had some cabinet installers install a mantle I had supplied so that it all is very custom and personalized to my taste. It came out beautifully and the work is top-notch. All that is left is for me to have someone out to put in a self-return or mitered end on the baseboards by the side of the fireplace and enjoy the fireplace when it is cold again! They are a very professional team and I'm also having Carrot Top Designs put in cabinets and shelves next to the fireplace and in my laundry room. He was well-organized, and it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. The old door was removed, and the new one was installed in just a few hours. I had old LED bulbs which was causing an interference with my door receiver. Mark quickly identified the problem and simply replaced my old LED bulbs with new factory recommended garage door bulbs. While garage doors can be a significant investment, I feel that I received excellent value for the money spent. The price was competitive, especially considering the quality of the product and the professionalism of the service. There were no hidden fees, and the final bill was exactly what was quoted.
