Cooking Girl — Restaurant in Missouri City

Super dissapointed with our visit to this cooking girl location. I had heard many good things but unfortunately it was a let down. I'll start with the food. We were the only ones in the restaurant which was fine but we ordered our food and it came out within a couple minutes. Now I don't like to complain about fast service but this was too fast. The food came before our drinks did and we ordered drinks first. The food had to have been pre-made for and it definitely tasted like it had been pre made. The fried rice had barely and flavor and tasted like it was at least a day old. It was like it had been reheated and served to us. Unfortunately the rest of the food was exactly the same. The restaurant itself is nice and decorated nicely and clean, however the waitress was visibly sick. She was coughing all over the place, sneezing, wiping her nose and she really did not look well. She needed to be home, not serving food and drinks to people. We were just hoping that she would not pass anything on to us but unfortunately that was not the case. The next day we all started to come down with a flu and were very sick for a week. It was awful!

There were two waitresses and between them, they would come to the table every couple minutes asking if we needed anything. It was non stop. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Definitely won't be returning to...

Just order through uber eats after seeing all of the really good reviews, and honestly we we're all highly disappointed. The portions are RIDICULOUSLY small for what you're paying for. The Mongolian Delight is good, but it was mostly onions & hardly any protine, and for $21 that's a complete rip off. The chicken for the sweet and sour chicken was just fine, nothing special about it, and not particularly flavorful & the sauce was super waterey and also did not have much flavor. We also got steamed pork dumplings, and they were also and just ok. Not much filling unfortunately & a little rubbery. Also our bag didn't come with any utensils or sauces. I don't know if they typically do fortune cookies or something at this restaurant, but none of the typical accoutrements that come with takeout were provided. Overall, everything was just fine but collectively disappointing, especially after spending $75 for 3 objects. We were really hoping to like this place, but unfortunately, we won't be giving it...

I absolutely love this place! My best friend and I are Asian and figured we would give them a try but we both knew only in Bellaire Asia town is truly where the really good food is. Boy did Cooking Girl shock us into oblivion. We were NOT expecting how good the food was but how FAST it came too!! We had the sichuan beef (mild), garlic shrimp and green beans. The second time I took my non- Asian husband and we had the salt & pepper squid, chicken pot stickers and walnut shrimp. My husband devoured the salt and pepper squid. The salt and pepper squid should only be ordered and eaten AT the restaurant so you can eat it right off the pan. Crispy upon initial bite and the squid is tender. Make sure you grab an onion and bell pepper to get the full taste. Absolutely love this place ,.. and it is so nice to not have to drive to Bellaire when I want really good...
