Indigo Alley — Local services in Moab

I have twice bought pants here that have gotten holes in them. The customer service lacks here from owner to staff. I really liked the first pair of leggings I bought and even bought more after the first pair got a hole. They don’t do refunds but did agree to a discount on a second pair after I made a huge stink. They won’t check to see if they have items when you call so you have to fight the limited Main Street parking and tourists to check for inventory. I would’ve bought many more if they would’ve ordered them. It was a guaranteed sale they didn’t want to make. Luckily I’ve since found them online cheaper which is sad since I try to support the locals. I recently found a more expensive ($30 pair) of pants and bought them in absence of the pants I’ve continued checking back for. They too got a massive hole within a couple of weeks, only about 6 uses at home with a new baby (so I wasn’t out being hard on them). The staff couldn’t figure out the owners email when I called. I asked for a call back after a certain time since was on my way out and missed her calling me back as apparently they couldn’t figure out what after 12:30 meant. On the first pair I was told they were cheap pants and what did I expect. On the second issue I was told they try to pull clothes with issues before they hit the floor. If you know your stuff has issues you should provide the ability to return when the issues appear within just a few wears. I’m disappointed that they don’t do better by locals as would a tourist say something when stuff goes wrong and they are home thousands of miles away? I noticed another low review from another local that received subpar customer service. I will not recommend this...

I love Moab and love supporting local. Everytime I go to town, I buy something from the stores. I will never return to this one. I am appalled by the lack of customer service this store has. I bought a pair of shorts that immediately ripped at the seam. When I called the store, they told me there was nothing they could do, that they’ve never seen this happen before and to reach out to the brand directly. I did, and they told me they don’t work with consumers, only with their wholesale partners. So now I’m out a pair of shorts that were quite expensive that I wore one time. No, it was not due to size or anything, it just ripped at the seam. I’m bummed to see that this is the way they treat...

I cannot say enough great things about this shop! I come from a larger 'hip' city so I'm used to seeing boutiques everywhere in my hometown... but it was a complete surprise to find this gem nestled in such a touristy town! The vibe is amazing- the store is open, organized, and decorated well. Everything from the clothes to the accessories to even the random homegoods were so spot on and trendy... and yet how are these prices so reasonable?! I walked away with multiple items and could easily have bought the whole shop. This boutique could keep up with the best of them in my metro, I'm completely blown away by this little find....
