I love all goodwills for the most part, finding a good bargain is always a good thing. The cashier who checked me out was very nice to me and made sure she put all I bought away nicely so I could carry it all out easily. However, my friend behind me in line had a furniture item on hold up front of the store the pricetag read "49.99" it was a piece EVERYONE in the store would pass by and admire it was beautiful, we didn't realize there was a tag sale for all red tags 50% off the item which the tag on his item was red. All the workers accused him of putting the 4999 tag on the item and claims that they would never sell something for that cheap and that they really had it upfront for about $200. So he could not get the item. I found out to be extremely rude and ridiculous considering everything there is donated and 4999 is pretty high price for a donated item as it is even half of that and to make an accusation like that when he had not even touch the item he had a worker come pick it up with the dolly and put it up front so he didn't even touch the item to be able to switch the tag or whatever they said he did. I found it to be a bullshiter excuse for them just wanted to keep it for themselves or something like that I don't know why but it was ridiculous especially when we both had spent a lot of money there. Other than that experience it's been ok but that wouldn't be a bad taste in my mouth about this...
Read moreIt's a hit and miss when shopping there, or any boutique, depending on what you're looking for. I've got some great vinyl records. Jewelry is plentiful. Sometimes things are a little over priced considering they got it free. I got the best deals on furniture there. Vintage dressers, one with a mirror, marble top end tables, sturdy wood chair with leather seat, a beautiful armouir, a small hexagon end table with storage, and an small end table with a drawer. All real wood made back when they used all wood. If I had seen this anywhere else I would have paid a ridiculous amount of money, like at least a grand or more. I got all that and other stuff for less than $200, and a great comfy armless chair for my son's apartment. It cost me almost twice as much to hire someone to go pick it up and deliver to my place in Lynnwood. There were a couple items missed by the movers or staff but I was ok with it cuz they didn't put it back on the floor. I was lucky enough that it fit in my car. I basically furnished the majority of my apartment so I was thrilled. I wish I could post a picture. The only downfall is they do not have a very good selection of plus size clothing. However, again it's a hit and miss. That day I scored so big with everything. Red wine glasses,a antique fine ass China plates, and a black wool coat. I was so...
Read moreThe store is still overpricing items when they receive it on a donation basis. They wanted $159 for a digital camo hunting backpack that online is only $55 to 70$ and they tried to tell me they saw it online for $400 there's not a backpack out there that's $400 these people are trying to scam others it's ridiculous I thought the pricing people that now are in charge would do a better job than the last person...but nope still trying to steal as much money from the public as they can...absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable!!! there's not one ounce of Goodwill here.. I truly hope people start calling them out more on their overpricing so that they're held accountable. Oh in the last thing he did was the guy was so rude to me he told me if I found it online and maybe I should just go there disrespectful employees as well they obviously don't want customers when they speak to you like that. Trust me I will go someplace else because Goodwill has been known for price gouging for a long time now never again will I support such a corrupt organization... maybe one day they'll change and actually live up to their name..... St Vincent de Paul is better kinder and more compassionate towards their customers and their wallets. With so many businesses lately not standing in integrity they need to...
