Harbor Freight — Local services in Monroe

Ordered a tool chest on December 3rd for my husband's Christmas present. Was told it will be ready for pickup December 23rd. Went to go get it from the store and they said it wasn't on that week's truck and would be on the next truck, which was until January 6th. So my husband didn't get his gift.

Called today (January 7th) to make sure it was delivered and ready for pickup. They said it wasn't on this shipment either and said it would be here on January 12th. I asked them if they were sure because they already gave me two prior arrival dates already and my product still wasn't here. He said "well it will probably be on the next shipment but I can't guarantee it". So I asked at how many missed shipments do they call and try to fix the problem for me. He replied "I mean, well, you'll get it eventually".

I asked for the manager's name and he replied "Beth". I asked for the last name and he said "oh I don't know her last name". Eventually he put another guy on the phone who basically told me that there's no guarantee on when I will get my order and that they will get to it when they get to it. I then stated I wanted to cancel it and get a refund so I can go buy it elsewhere. He told me I had to come in person to do so, even though I have a confirmation number, even though they could see my order in the system and have my credit card number on file.

Just go to Lowes. Customer service here is horrible and they do not care whether or not...

Harbor Freight is an excellent chain to get power/hand tools and parts at a reasonable price. In the past couple of years Harbor Freight has improved the quality of their own power/hand tool brand. In the past Harbor Freight brand tools would use inferior blends of metals for their wrenches and sockets and their power tools would use cheaper motors and switches and wouldn't last that long. The updated Hercules brand power tools have stepped up their game and are just as good as DeWalt, Black and Decker, and Ryobi brand power tools you find at the home improvement box stores at a discounted price. Most of the brands of powder tools are made in the same couple of manufacturers over in Asia this is why some tools look exactly the same but might perform differently. Hercules impact wrenchs and impact drills come out of these same manufacturers but are now using the higher quality motors and trigger switches then in the past making them on par with the semi professional/Home Improvement box store brands of tools that charge 30-50% more for their tools. At Harbor Freight you can get an entry flux core mig welder for sub $200. Some of their electric generators are on the same level as Hondas. Harbor Freight even have good quality of small engines that can be used for almost anything. Power the magnetic rotor for a generator, replace the motor for your lawn mower, and for hobbyist making their own go carts or gas...

Update 12-5-18 I love HFT but for some reason the Best Rated Google App for their coupons has been taken off the market. I'm devastated. NONE of the other apps even come close to this app and trying to use HFTs website is such a pain that I'm actually not shopping HFT as much as I use to. I shop online more now through an AMAZing site that is way easier to use than HFTs website. Sorry HFT but you may have just litigated your self into bankruptcy. Good luck with that!
