I couldnt be happier with my experience so far with Simpsons, and I'm not done yet. I had originally put a deposit down on a dress at Davids bridal and I just wasnt happy with how I was treated, their selection or anything. I decided to try somewhere local to me, which is how I ended up at Simpsons. Krista has been more than a blessing to me, I was unsure of what I wanted from my initial visit but she was more than patient with me and understood what I was saying, when I wasnt even sure what I was saying. My father passed away suddenly and that threw my whole wedding plans off wack - she saw on facebook I had posted about the loss and she emailed me to tell me she was praying for me - I have never in my life had someone take the time out of their day and do something like that. She has been patient with me through what I call dress anxiety - it had been a few months since I had put on my dress and I was nervous about still having picked the RIGHT wedding dress. I made an appointment to come in and try on dresses again, the girl she put me with that day was also a god send - she had recently lost her father and knew the mess of emotions I was dealing with and knew the right things to say to me. My time with Simpsons is not done since I wont be married until next April [ 2015 ], but I am so glad its not. I cant say enough good things about all the nice girls who work there, and the patience and straight out KINDNESS of Krista. I had THE BEST experience at Simpson’s Bridal, and I can’t recommend them enough. Drive the few extra miles to Monroe, ladies – you won’t regret it! After searching for a wedding gown through every store/salon/boutique in Charlotte and into Gastonia, I ventured a little further out to Monroe – best decision ever! Krista and her team could not have been more amazing. They are thoughtful, friendly and professional, and will settle for nothing less than you finding your perfect dress. They aren’t trying to make a sale – they want you to look and feel beautiful. I emailed a picture of a dress I was looking for, and Krista immediately responded saying they had it and asked me some questions to see what else I might like. When I arrived for my appointment, they had the one I emailed and 6-8 other dresses they thought might work. I immediately loved 3 of them. One stood out, but I wasn’t quite sure. So, I made another appointment and chose the one for me – it wasn’t even the one I had emailed! They picked out my perfect dress, and I couldn’t have been happier. Each step of the way was easy. My original review: I regret trusting this bridal shop. The dress I finally chose after looking though a dozen shops was here, but it was not in the right color. I was quickly instructed that I could order the proper color through their shop online, which I did. When the dress was finally here I was shocked. Who thought that choosing a different color changes the whole dress. It was practically see-through! Not at all what I thought I was getting. It was practically a completely different dress. The shop refused to take the dress back, even though they told me that they do take dresses back in some situations. Something to note: this dress was not a custom size, there were no alterations made, and it was only tried on by once by one person. I'm not sure what situation fits a return better. Especially given that the dress is NOT what I thought I was getting. I feel tricked into spending A LOT of money in this shop and they act like its not their problem.
