Whataburger — Restaurant in Texas

I usually really love Whataburger but after the experience had with this employee I will never eat at this location again. We pulled up to the drive through (it was super slow there were only two cars in front of us) and I told my husband that we should dine in instead (we have two little kids and it would be hard for them to eat in the car) so my husband pulls through and it stopped by an employee that is very upset that we pulled through the drive through. He says next time we need to back up if we change our mind. (Back up through the drive through so we could potentially hit a car behind us?…) I thought that was weird but oh well we’ll still go in and eat. We should have taken the red flag and left to eat somewhere else. We went in and ordered our food. While we were eating the same employee came to our table and continued to get angry with us over the fact that we pulled forward through the drive through and didn’t back up. He said “tell me your thought process of what you were thinking so I understand what was going through your mind” I simply told him that we changed our mind and wanted to dine in he then tisk* tisk* a finger at us, honestly it was pretty degrading. He then began to lecture us further on why we needed to back up out of the drive through in the future. The whole experience was extremely weird and I felt harassed. I would tell everyone to steer clear of this location. I would be concerned if anyone ACTUALLY did anything wrong while this...

Horrible horrible service. I only ordered 4 shakes. Took 30 min to get someone to acknowledge me while waiting in line. (Outer line) they kept saying they will get you . Saw many cars get their food and finally someone came out took my card and brought out 3 shakes but charged 4 ,then got mad cause I told her I needed a refund. (Every one had an attitude)As she went inside to get my refund she came outside with the shake and said it started working but it was slow. I asked that I hoped they aren’t melted as I had been waiting for a while , she confirmed they were fresh, I opened the lids to the 1st 3 shakes she brought out and as you can see in the picture they are melted and not well mixed. 2 chocolate (they don’t look the same) one strawberry and the one they brought later was banana pudding. I still took them cause they were for my kids. I knew melted wouldn’t be a big deal for them. Well they all had a horrible after taste . It was so bad and strong that we couldn’t drink it. At this point I was home . I didn’t want to go back because I knew I would probably get more attitude and not solve anything.sad sad. And even more that they would serve this to customers. I will try to call and see what non sense...

I had a wonderful experience at this location recently! We were due to celebrate my son’s 8th birthday party nearby at the movie theatre but last minute we found out Showbiz theatre charged a $50 fee if we brought in birthday cake. Dejected, we decided to go to Whataburger for lunch and cake before the actual party to avoid the absurd theater fees. I wasn’t sure if they would turn us away since we were a large group with cake and gifts. Upon walking inside, I was met with an elderly black gentleman whose smile and greeting absolutely lit up the restaurant. I asked him if it was okay that we bring in the cake and celebrate while eating our burgers, still thinking they might turn us away. I didn’t catch his name but he amazingly said, “ABSOLUTELY! Y’all come on in!” All of the staff seemed happy we were there, got our orders right and made sure we were accommodated with everything we needed. I was very impressed and so thankful they allowed us to come last minute and have a great time! I made sure to tip the sweet man and hope to see him there again in the future.
