DO NOT GO HERE FOR THE LPN PROGRAM! Go to a community college!!!
If you have a stable situation where you can afford to be jobless, itâs possible to make this program work. But even despite that, at the end of the day they are only about money and because of their greed I wouldnât recommend this school to anyone!!!
I went to LINCOLN tech for over a year. Iâm a single mother so of course I struggled balancing work, a baby and school. I do not blame my situation on the school. However there were many empty promises. In my time here there were many amazing teachers- but many decided to stop working here. When I left only two of the original teachers I had remained. They left for prism, which since then, is apparently better than LINCOLN tech. A few students from my class went over to prism. The tutor they promised.... was fired. So all of the âtutoringâ they promised us, was not there. They had our teacher, MRS.H, offering tutoring once a week; Which was absolutely counter productive. Not only were we confused in class, we also left tutoring confused. All of her tests had to be rounded up because of the fail rate.
They promised a no more than 30 students to 1 teacher ratio. However Mrs. H, had all 60 of us in ONE classroom for a period of time. Sixty people in ONE room- it was distracting, and you could tell our teacher was overwhelmed. My class had to file multiple complaints to get our class split up.
All of my clinical instructors and the Career services and Business staff were knowledgeable and helpful.
A common complaint every teacher had was how old and out dated the tools were here. A common phrase they used was â they donât use these anymoreâ and then our teacher would demonstrate how to use the old tools and then explain how the updated tools actually work. The school constantly talks about their Nclex pass rate but doesnât actually tell you how many people actually make it through the program. Many students do not graduate with their original class. They give you one free chance to retake a class. However when you retake a class, they donât give you the updated resources. Out of the group of 10 people that were repeating in my class, we all had to complain to get some new books. They Insisted our old books were the same, when the page numbers didnât even align with The new books.
The pettiness of some staff is also outrageous and childish. The class before mine had a big scandal with cheating. They would write answers on scrap paper and pass it around, many of them passed solely because the staff was not aware. So when my class arrived to fourth term, they took action to punish US for something the previous class did. At one point they didnât allow us to use scrap paper- it was absolutely unfair.
Since Iâve left LINCOLN tech, I tried multiple times to re-enter. I only had three months left so despite everything, i figured Iâd just suffer for 3 more months and get it done with. I saved 1500 to retake two classes- so it took me a couple months. I was on the way to the reentry appointment when the school called me and told me that I have to wait until it was approved by the DON, because I waited months to come back- like usual they never got back to me. So now I am over it. Iâm going to community college for 20,000 cheaper.
The bill collectors of Lincoln tech- the man that had been assigned to me was disgustingly rude. I cried twice out of anger on the phone with this man. After the passing of a family member- Iâd explained my financial issues and he continuously said that itâs not LINCOLN techs fault. He called multiple times and everytime i would explain whatâs going on with my finances. On one another occasion- he raised his voice at me telling me that I have to pay something and itâs really not his problem what I was going through, that I was making excuses and I can go to jail if I donât pay. Another time I started to explain to him and he hung up as soon as I said I couldnât pay- completely ...
Read moreI went to Lincoln Tech for their CNST program. Without a doubt, I have no regrets whats so ever about taking this course. All three of my instructors during my time at lincoln tech were highly certified in their fields of practice. I felt this to be one of the best aspects of the school is teachers specifically teaching one field but, it's a field that they're highly knowledgeable in. All of the CNST programs/mods you'll take consist of one central idea regarding a specific subject. Typically when taking classes we were covering one chapter per day, however, this depends on which book we're studying from. After we covered a chapter we would then perform a LAB that would give us the hands-on experience. I do wish some of the computers were upgraded a bit more but they're adequate for what you'll be learning. Classes are accelerated so missing one or multiple days can be a detriment if you plan on taking this course seriously. Showing up to class is by far the easiest and most important part of this course. During the CNST program, you'll have two certifications you can take but, you're encouraged to take more if you can. If you don't pass your first time you do get multiple attempts to pass. These certifications are for the CompTIA IT Fundamentals and the A+ (1001-1002). One other classes/courses you'll take during the program is résumé and interviewing practice, this felt to be one of the most important aspects of Lincoln Tech in terms of preparing you. As for the staff of Lincoln Tech of Moorestown I have nothing but praises overall. Everyone there wants nothing more than to see you succeed in your field. This became very evident to me after seeing many students using the in-school study hall to get tutoring. Which you can request whenever you feel like you're falling behind. Overall my biggest positive for Lincoln Tech is they will do their absolute best to try to place you into a job. During your internship and job placement what makes Lincoln Tech a step above the rest is their connections to other companies. Countless companies I've had the pleasure of talking to say that they only hire from Lincoln due to their ability to adapt to changing job markets and fields. With respect, these companies know that they'll be acquiring an asset to their company due to Lincolns' teaching. Overall my experience has been excellent and I highly recommend this school. If you have any doubts about it go and take a tour and...
Read moreWow! Well Lincoln itâs so hard to say good-bye to yesterday as Boyz 2 Men sang. I graduated from the LTI PN program in October of 2018 and will forever remember how it has changed my life. You know the saying when life gives you lemons make lemonade? Well when a nursing program that is âacceleratedâ welcomes you into the program after you passed the teas test from there the program is what you make it. Of course it became challenging at times but when you work hard and fight for your passion or purpose itâs never easy, the race is not given to the Swift only to the Strong! I chose to get involved! I met wonderful students and forever nursing friends along the way. I volunteered with the different community outreach events for example the Ronald McDonald house with Mr. P it was amazing and humbling experience. I became the student ambassador where I spoke to entering nursing students about what to expect, my student experiences at LTI and asked them to remember why did âI chooseâ to be a nurse and why did âI chooseâ to join this program. The staff was amazing đ!! Through each term Iâve experienced dedicated staff that wanted to see me succeed and have encouraged me along the way. Even some that have gone above and beyond the call of duty when lifeâs challenges hit me and I wanted to just give up. There is not one perfect program out there, but if you remember these 2 things: Why did I choose to come to this school? How bad do I really want this? AND BE COMMITTED to sacrificing JUST 12 months of your life.. it will be the most rewarding feeling ever it will be all worth it in the end. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast is what I say and write your vision and make it plain (do vision board), pray and make that first step of faith and enroll into LTI so they can help you make the next steps to changing your life. Again, thank you to Mr. Bohen,Ms. Miller, Ms. Maxham, Ms. Holman, Ms. Ayusa, Ms. Yip, Cheo, Ms. G, Mr. Z, Ms. G-3rd term, Ms. Hibner, Ms. Flood, Ms. Chase, Ms. Twiz, Ms. U and Ms. Canteeni for believing in me, encouraging me along the way and giving me the tools to become a successful nursing student! Mr. Mike for being our Chef Ramsey on the grill supporting our event. Mr. P keeping our internet connections together and Toni for bringing a smile everyday. See you at graduation...
