We waited at a dirty table, two coffee cups, and it needed to be cleaned (no big deal) for at least 6 minutes. Then, a wet cloth was placed in front of us. The waitress walked away. The place was not really busy, and no one was waiting for a seat. We cleaned the table ourselves. Continued to wait for another 5 minutes. She removed our menus and the cloth. Thanked my husband, placed the dirty cloth next to the silverware, then said, "What do you want?" We placed our order and just sat back to wait for our food. Then she began to bring our orders. Her other booths cleared out. She had 3, we were 1 of them. Then, one filled up again as they do. We watched our waitress literally clean the forks for that booth with the same cloth that she gave us to clean our table. That cloth sat next to the silverware the entire time since we had cleaned our table ourselves. Then, after we had received our food and were halfway finished, the MANAGER used the SAME cloth to clean the table behind us, then put it RIGHT back next to the silverware. Never once did ANYONE rinse the cloth out in any cleaning solution or change it out for a new cloth!! Air vent was encrusted with enormous amounts of dust, dirt, and grease. Now I know why it's called "AFFEL HOUSE", it's not because the W doesn't work on the sign!!! Use your imagination about the amount of grease on the eggs, 6 napkins later, full of grease, if that helps, and they were cold!!! Half of my order was correct, and half of my husband's was brought later, and he only ordered two items. Maybe a district manager should make some rounds. All I know is we will never be going back to a Waffle House again. I have never expected top knotch out of WH, but this was just the last straw with us and our patronage. I completely understand the table being messy, and I am not above wiping it down! But really serving the public with a nasty dirty cloth that has been in God knows what, and God knows where and now knowing people are putting it in their mouths, pretty sure US!!!. At least have a bucket of bleach/cleaning solution that you can soak the cloths in to kill the germs and for the love God don't use a nasty cloth on a paying customers utensil and expect a tip. I didn't notice your health rating until we were leaving, and honestly, I was shocked at your score. Had I seen it beforehand, we wouldn't have eaten there. To me, you have a pretty low score. Read moreCame here tonight and honestly have never not felt welcome at a Waffle House before, specifically this one: We immediately felt it was off because there was one worker who didn’t seem to interested in serving us. We were very polite despite the rotten tea, burnt food, and the attitude of the workers(which we did not mention once; we were nice the entire time hoping it would turn someone’s attitude around)- but she was overly sweet to every other customer (including a drunk crowd who was grinding on each other), we genuinely didn’t ask for much- didn’t need extra time to order food. ordered drinks and food basically together, sat quietly. Not average for a waffle house attendee I understand, but I don’t see why being polite and nice means you get ignored blatantly to your face. The cook with the dreads who blatantly ignored our request for a box after we were being ignored for 20 minutes and forgotten about, and continued to pass by it when it was right beside us on the shelf. We will not be returning,I know that isn’t much for a waffle house being waffle house- but i’m deeply confused and hurt by their actions. You’re lucky I didn’t steal the plate with the rest of my food because you wouldn’t take two seconds and get a box for me. Read moreI’ve always went here and it’s always been great fast service and great customer service. Yesterday we came in at around 10pm as a group of 5. Server took our drinks literally took 15 minutes to just give us them, then we brought them and didn’t even take our order. She walked away and took the order of some people that got there after us and while we were still waiting on her to come take our order, we waited about 30+ mins while she helped everyone else before us. When I asked her why she helped everyone who got there after us, before us. She said “because you guys were not all sitting down, when only one of the guys had got up to use the restroom” assuming as if we didn’t know what we wanted already 30 mins in. I was very upset with her service, she then took my order in which I ordered for everyone I made that clear. 15 mins later she comes out with one plate. I explain I wanted 5 meals not one meal??? As there was 5 of us???? That was the last straw. That was unacceptable and so disrespectful I made it clear it was 5 meals and she had the audacity to bring 1 after waiting those 40 minutes for food. Worst experience ever!!!! Do better!
