A few bad apples and apathetic management make living here one big expensive inconvenience.
After moving all of my belongings in, I found example after example that this place was given the "landlord treatment". They slapped a coat of grey (true to their name Greystar) over everything, covering dirt and literal human hairs, instead of actually cleaning the place. Many doors (wood and sliding glass) do not close properly as the hinges and locks are mickey moused with spacers and mismatched bolts, there are broken wood panels in the kitchen and bathroom around the sinks, and there are poorly patched holes near my bathtub. 3 days were not nearly enough to find and point out all the flaws in the apartment.
Furthermore, Police are frequently on the property dealing with some kind of disturbance. A lot of porch pirates live here, and I have personally had my belongings stolen. If you receive anything in the broken mailbox 19P, you can say goodbye because it will be gone by the time you get home. I've reported this to staff and the post office, but nothing was ever done about it. When we first moved in, we witnessed two residents having a falling out and one of them threw out all of their belongings and trash outside in the parking lot for days. Another resident was having a breakdown and proceeded to write schizophrenic musings all over the walls of their open garage for all to see. It wasn't taken care of until someone new showed up to rent that same apartment. This place is actually really seedy, and yet we're still paying "luxury apartment" prices.
Parking is made artificially scarce to force you to pay even more money than you already do. Got a 3 bedroom apartment? Too bad, you get 2 parking spaces + 0 guest parking because a broken down junk vehicle is permanently parked in the 24 guest only parking. The other 24 hour guest spots have been commandeered by residents who leave their vehicles parked there for days to weeks at a time. Your guests will be forced to park far away in a shopping plaza and walk to your apartment. It doesn't matter how many times you email or call staff, they refuse to do anything about it, or even respond for that matter. When I asked to speak to the property manager, the staff member went as far as to lie to me that there are no phone numbers or emails for me to contact the property manager or corporate.
Very recently, tow away signs were put up at our personal reserved parking spaces, warning of upcoming tree trimming, and yet no parking solution was offered to us. Worse yet, no tree trimming took place at all so we were forced to park far away in a shopping plaza, walk to and from our apartment, and risk getting a ticket from the city as that parking lot is 2 hour parking only.
My advice would be to find any other...
Read moreStay away from this apartment complex!! This place is awful!! The apartments are tiny and cramped. Everyone will always be stealing your parking space every other day so you will have no where to park. The management got rid of visitor parking so if you have any friends or family come over they will have no place to park & they will have to park very far away. People will park directly in front of your garage blocking it so you cannot get your car out when you have to go to work. This place is a dump. You will have very little privacy living here. The greedy pigs in the management office at the apartment complex have only one goal: to take as much of your money as possible (If you think you are getting your rental deposit back you are dreaming those greedy pigs in the management office will do everything possible to try to keep it, until you threaten them with a lawsuit). This place is so over priced & a complete rip off. Living here is one of the most depressing experiences a person can experience. The security at this complex is a joke also, if you have a legitimate issue they ignore you and your complaints. The windows will barely open & develop mold around the bottom edges when it gets cold outside (I put bleach on the bottom of the windows several times) but the mold kept coming back. The walls & windows are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors screaming & arguing all the time. My neighbors were very fond of smoking marijuana all of the time which was annoying to have to smell that on a daily basis. The police regularly visit the complex because the people living here generate a substantial amount of criminal activity. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! BEING HOMELESS IS BETTER THAN...

Sure the updated things, and at first because of that I wanted to give them 5 stars. The inside looks great, got a gym that opens at 5 am, the pools have been updated with grills. As time went on I started to notice how cheap they went with some of this stuff, and how it's a set up to take away your deposit for damages. The front doors of your apartment seem like they were repaired after damages to the locks, not replaced.
Then let's talk about parking. There's 10 garage units and 10 apartments for each building block. Somehow they gave 2 garages to some if the 2bdr apartments, and 1 garage to the 3 bdr. When asked to get a garage (which we were promised one, before moving in) they didn't give us one because THEY gave us a apartment that didn't have one. They sold companies now, and its owned by graystar, and their solution (which isn't better) is to put out a waiting list, but didn't tell ANYONE about it until a month later and theirs 30 names already on it. It doesn't make sense. Instead of car ports, just leave it open resident parking and expand visitors parking. If the car ports had solar power panels on them, it would make sense why you added them, but they don't.
The new management is trying to fix things, but corporate isn't...
