On the way to the Gilroy Outlet malls, I am glad that a stall on the 101 and resulting detour led through Morgan Hill on this sunny Saturday morning. We decided to browse through the lovely downtown area, and it was quite a relaxing scene compared to the more hectic and overcrowded South Bay. The small town feel and especially the Farmer's Market were a highlight on this summer day. The quality of the fruit was extraordinarily high, and it just felt nice after a long time to go out and about amid the pandemic of 2020. Visitors kept their distance, and everyone complied with health mandates as far as I could tell. Looking forward to my next trip to this laid back town and great quality of local produce. I love that one stand offers great veggies and herbs used for Asian cooking. There's also farm fresh eggs, fantastic meats..the ribeye steaks were amazing! The are beautiful, tempting bakery items. Rachel's Ginger Biscotti is among my favorites. I always get sime when they have it in stock. There are live plants and flowers, kettle korn to munch on while you shop and great fresh juice blends to sip. My favorite is sadly, and understandably only offered seasonally. Read moreI came to this farmer's market because the ones in my area (South Monterey County) are not currently open. It's so clean and organized. The Vendors -as well as fellow Patrons in attendance- at this market are very nice. Dispite everyone's shelter-in-place; and required social distancing, everyone at the market worked happily together to make this market happen. I will definitely visit this market again!!...
