Belk — Local services in Morganton

Never the type to leave a bad review as I work in customer service myself. I wanted to purchase some earrings for Christmas that were on sale on the app for $30 compared to the $100 they were marked in store, when rang up I said "Ohhh, the 70% off coupon must only work online then?!" Not rude mannered at all, genuinely curious. The cashier looks at me and says "um no, if you want it you're gonna have to pay FULL price". I told her "Nevermind then it's okay" and she just looks at me like I'm drunk, cancels the item, and says "okay." She didn't even gently place the box on the counter behind her and then preceeded to tell the customer in behind me "Sorry about that" as If the cashier was the one who had dealt with a rude person?? A great response would have been "Oh yeah that only works online I'm sorry! Would you like to cancel?", but instead I felt judged and like a burden all because someone had to put an item back. I wasnt even greeted with a "Hello!" or "How are you?". To make it worse, the one beside her (who was so sweet and was very patient with my hard of hearing grandma) asked why they were sitting there and the lady responded "Oh she wanted a price check and then she realized how much it cost so she put it back". I Told them both to have a good night but she acted like she didn't hear me but the other cashier did and said thank you. Even if I just caught her on a rough day there's no reason to be so unhelpful and rude...

I made my visit to belk in morganton the other day, and I left completely furious… me and my boyfriend had come in to look for a wedding guest dress and realized they had a lot on clearance unfortunately i didn’t find one that day but i did want to try on a couple pairs of jeans from clearance me and my boyfriend are younger in our 20s, and these women treated us with zero respect the fitting room did not say women’s or men’s it was just stated fitting room my boyfriend always comes along with me to fitting rooms mainly for safety reasons, and of course to help me decide well… this lady had came back there and started banging on our door and was very rude telling my bf he needed to get out because the other “women” would go crazy and keep in mind we were one of the only people in this store and seeing how they treat people i’m not surprised, due to the disrespectful act this women just did, I sat my things on a rack and didn’t say a word and walked out to find my bf when I turn around I notice the manger i’m assuming is following me to the front of the store i’m sure to “make sure i wasn’t stealing anything” but overall it was rude and disrespectful and my bf and I will not be making another visit to this location especially if you are young you will be looked down upon, lost a sale and a customer…...

Hickory Belk store has its moments! Last week it was horrendous! Out of many stock items and just messy! Today, there were more of the items we have been searching for. Still, there weren't all that I would expect to have been there, nor did any near by worker help.(which were none to be found for quite a distance)I was way impressed with the Morganton Belk! For it to be so tiny compared to Hickory's Belks it sure carried the stock Hickory didn't. I have an extremely odd bra size and usually travel to Boone to shop at a specialty store there. That cost money, in the fact the are more expensive products, gas money and time money. I found a numerous amount of bras in the Morganton Belks. I could have gotten two bras for the cost of one with the great sale that was going on! Hickory's Blow-out sale was slightly less impressive as Morganton's Blow-out Sale.
