To the general public: do not go to the Morganton Verizon store. They are an indirect store of Verizon so corporate won't be able to help you much if you purchased your phone through an indirect store and have an issue.
My problem: went to Morganton store in Dec and purchased two iPhones buy one get one free. Traded in my daughters galaxy 6 and opened a new line. Salesman did not inform me that it would have to on an unlimited plan to get the promo. Actually he said that my current plan was eligible for the promo as long as one line was new. Maybe he just wanted the sale? Maybe he wasn't properly trained. I don't know.
Fast forward to today (meanwhile calling them the last two months since they told me it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles to see the credit and I haven't seen the credit) the store does not acknowledge that the salesman misinformed me. I can't return the phones now and the only way to get the credit is to buy an unlimited data plan. Well newflash, I don't use the data I have now so why pay for more? General manager only apologized and said he can't do anything else for me if I don't upgrade to the unlimited plan. If I had known about having to be on unlimited plan back in December I would've never done the so called promo that I never saw. Now I'm stuck with 2 iPhones full priced. Corporate can't do anything about it since it's an indirect store.
Any suggestions from you all will help. I will probably be filing a claim with BBB. Corporate will call me back Monday but I'm sure they can't give me what I was told in December bc they already said that to me today. Thx for reading and do not go to Morganton Verizon to buy a new phone or your promo may not be there in 2 to 3 billing cycles! Go at...
Read moreThis is about not only this store but Verizon as a whole. I ordered a new phone through the app and was told I would receive a notification when it was ready to pick up at this location. I waited and waited and the order still said “preparing order”, I never received any notification that I could go get my phone. Then all of a sudden this morning my order was canceled because I didn’t pick it up in time. How am I supposed to do that when according to everything I can see on the app and online my order isn’t ready yet. I called customer service and was told tough luck, I would just need to reorder and hope it worked this time. So I tried to submit a new order and the website said that I was no longer eligible for an upgrade because I had already used it on the cancelled phone. So I contacted customer service and was told tough luck again that I could log out and log back in to see if it reset. An hour later it still hadn’t so I went to the store to try my luck with them. When I arrived they only had one person working and there were three of us in the store. The woman said someone else would be there soon so I sat down to wait. Another employee arrived after about 10 minutes and started to help the next customer in the store. After another 10 minutes of listening to the lady try to up-sell the customer she had Ben helping since I got there, and not taking no for an answer, I left and will just be keeping my old phone. I am now in the process of picking a new carrier and would recommend everyone do the same and not give this Verizon or any Verizon...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago I went in and updated my iPhone. The manager on duty updated my phone. After he updated my phone, I told him I wanted to trade in my phone but I wanted to make sure I had everything. Then the sales pitch happened: I can get you an iPad if you trade in the phone today. I told him no for 3 reasons: 1. I have an iPad already that I only use on WiFi 2. I don’t want a contract for an iPad that I won’t use 3. I wanted to pay my bill with the trade in money. He seemed frustrated with me, but I felt my reasoning was fair. I left and came back in a couple weeks later to trade in my phone, the guy that helped me told me that his manager (the same manager that helped me originally), said he would only take my phone for store credit and could not apply the credit against my bill. I laughed because that is a complete lie, he knew my account and wanted a new line for commission. I was disappointed that the manager would pull such a move, especially since I was a corporate employee with Verizon A couple years ago and I know how the system of commissions works. I would NEVER tell such a blantant lie, just to get a new line. I am not someone who does reviews very often, but I felt like this was completely wrong and...
