One finds a variety of local artists from the Morgantown area and greater West Virginia represented in the store. There is a great variety of artists' products ranging from paintings , drawings and prints, to hand-crafted jewelry, glass, pottery and woodwork. The atmosphere of the shop is charged with creativity while it is also warm and inviting. I make a point to visit and purchase at Appalachian Gallery every time I am in Morgantown.

I've been going to this gallery for picture framing and buying gifts for family & friends for more than 25 years and cannot say enough about the wonderful owner, Penelyn, and the fantastic work she does. I've had a few things matted and framed and as someone who used to do the same thing for work, you won't find many places that are staffed by actual artists who know what they're doing in regards to frames, mats, and how those things will interact with whatever you're having framed, even if it's just a diploma. You owe it to yourself to visit and peruse the store, there is literally something for everyone. I love the atmosphere as well, it's beautiful and comfortable....

This gallery is so much fun to shop in: there are so many beautiful items to choose from, and so many local and regional artists and artisans works represented here. The store itself is gorgeous made all the more so by the wonderful inventory. No matter how hard the person is to buy for, or no matter how lacking in ideas for gifts I am when I enter the Gallery, I am always inspired when pour over the variety of gift items and I never walk out without that special gift!. Yes, the quality and originality can cause some items to be on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for., and there is a wide range of prices to choose...
