The Rustic Diamond — Local services in Morro Bay

I loved the previous shop at this location, Junque Love, and when it went under, I was happy to see The Rustic Diamond pop up in the location with a kinda similar vibe. While it features great items, many of which are from local artists, I will no longer be patronizing this store after the owner Cindy was an overt xenophobe. Upon learning I was visiting from San Diego, her first comment was about how bad things were there with 'illegal aliens crossing the border.' I was flabbergasted to say the least. At my confusion, she continued to ask me if I run into or see 'them' a lot? It was quite frankly terrible. I quickly took my purchase and exited the store. It's a shame I will no longer be able to shop the cute items in the store--I cannot support a business owned by someone who can devalue human beings like that. I sincerely hope she takes the time to learn to respect all humans instead of casting judgement and being bigot.

If you're into Shabby Chic furniture, beautiful, handmade jewelry, awesome pictures, cool looking clothing, or just cute little knickknacks (they have it all), then this is the store for you! They have creative vendors who keep the store loaded with interesting pieces for that "One-of-a-kind" gift. And let's not forget to mention the owner, Cindy, who is creative and always looking for those different and unique items to place in the store! I came across this shop, after eating at Blue Sky. Curiosity lead me in to check it out. This is a great place to find a gift for someone or to treat yourself. There are many items from clothing, household and jewelry. The buyer has a unique eye for items that peak one's interest. Everytime I drop in there is more to see, you really need to take time and look around.
