This was one of the best experiences we've had in a long time! The crew was absolutely outstanding – not only were they knowledgeable and informative, but they were also kind, funny, and incredibly thoughtful. One crew member, who spoke Spanish, went above and beyond to make sure my mom (whose English is limited) felt included throughout the tour. He kindly translated everything for her, without us even having to ask. It meant so much to us, especially since on similar excursions, we're usually the ones trying to translate in real time. Thanks to him, my mom was able to fully enjoy the experience without stress. She also has some mobility issues, but the crew made sure she was comfortable and didn’t need to move from her seat to enjoy the views. Their attentiveness and care truly made all the difference. They even had ginger available for guests who were worried about motion sickness – a small but thoughtful detail that shows how much they care about every passenger’s comfort. And the tour itself? Absolutely AMAZING. We saw whales up close—more than we ever expected! It was a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will absolutely be back and can’t wait to bring other family members along. I’m confident they’ll love it just as much as we did. Thank you for creating such a beautiful memory for...
Read moreI have been coming to Morro Bay and the Embarcadero since I was born. Truly a beautiful place. Now in my 40’s, the one thing I had never done is take a bay cruise. Over the 4th of July I was able to take my parents and family out on the bay with a sub sea tour. We had a great time. The experience was very accessible for older folks (don’t tell my parents I said that) and enjoyable for our young son. The dock staff is friendly, the captain was friendly. All good. I think if you go into this experience understanding that this is a low key, not fancy, maybe even a little cheesy (sorry to the business owner for that one) experience, you will get enjoyment out of the same 45 minute cruise we did. Also, note, this is not a submarine, this is a boat with a small lower deck that has viewing windows. They use “fish food” which looks like canned fish to entice the fish to come to make the most out of the viewing windows. My Son enjoyed seeing the fish. It was a beautiful day in Morro Bay, our family was together, and we were on the water. It was a great opportunity to live in the moment. The price is very reasonable and there are lower cost tickets for kids and seniors. I highly recommend that you take some time and spend it on a boat with Sub Sea Tours. They do...
Read moreSo the family went whale watching on a foggy, foggy day in Morro Bay and Captain Dane found them a slumbering humpback whale that they tracked for about a half hour. Mom & Dad were so happy to share their love of the whales with their boys as it's always such a joy to listen to that whale blow sound and experience their enormous size. And like a good Captain, Dane made us feel so special that we saw the whale's tail so many times! Under the foggy circumstances so happy to see 2 whales, dolphins, mola mola and a feeding frenzy of sea lions... LUCKY... Really do you know hard it is to find whales in the fog? Mom and Dad get it as they spent winters in Los Angeles tracking Grey Whales for the whale census in the 1980s. Captain Dane even laughed a little when he overheard mom say to her boy "Yes, you go out whale watching, but learn that finding the dolphins is pretty fun too!" Knowledgeable staff and good service....Love the funny whale photo of the family! Mom says thanks for the great...
