I had ordered the salad and asked if what I ordered had contained onions since I have an allergy and was told that there are no onions and then I asked to add the tuna to the salad and again was not told of it containing onions. Once the food arrived I saw the tuna mixed with onions so I just ate around the tuna in the salad. The waitress did ask if things were ok and since I did not want to make a fuss given I was on holiday and wanted to enjoy my time I said it’s fine. Then when we were finished and asked for the bill she asked if I wanted to have a to go bag for my food since so little of it was eaten and I said no I can’t eat what’s left so no point in taking it away and that I had made a point beforehand to check if the food contained onions. Once I said that I cannot eat the rest because of the ingredients and that I had asked specifically about it so I was disappointed it came with onions the waitress became extremely rude. The waitress suddenly took on an aggressive demeanour towards me and whenever she walked past our table made comments such as “tuna always comes with onions” and “half our dishes contain onions” and only because numerous comments were said in a very aggressive and rude way I said well “I expected an accurate answer when I asked the question” and then she stormed off but kept coming back for the rude comments, half of them being that I am making such a fuss over nothing but I never asked for my order to change or complained I only said that I cannot eat the rest because of the ingredient I’m allergic to when I was prompted for the second time about why I didn’t eat much of the food. I said to my partner that I am on the verge of crying because I felt bullied by the staff so I did not wish to leave a tip. In the end they offered to take my food off the bill but the attitude was soo poor and as I was leaving I was yelled at. I had never experienced a time where a waitress raised their voice and had such a cold and aggressive attitude that I felt bullied. Once I left the restaurant I broke into tears so much so my mascara smudged all over. I understand mistakes can happen because we are human so I didn’t want to make a fuss… all I expected was a simple “I am so sorry I forgot the tuna also had onions and that the food was not suitable for you”...

Read moreFirst visit to Blue Sky Bistro in Morro Bay. Arrived just before 5pm. Only two tables taken inside. Only one waiter on the floor. Tried the nachos, lobster bisque, and Crab Louie salad. All were pretty good. The half order of nachos was easily enough for two people. Included all the standard ingredients: chips, refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. I could have done without the salsa. The lobster bisque had a smooth texture with enough bits of lobster. Totally ruined by the pile of burnt croutons on top. Also, someone had a heavy hand with the sherry or it hadn't simmered long enough before serving. The Crab Louie was tasty. It's listed on the menu as Shrimp Louie but I requested a substitute for crab instead. I may not have chosen wisely. The salad was fine: fresh, tasty ingredients including shoestring carrots, red onion, hb egg, tomato wedges, mixed greens, and a tiny bit of avocado. I got the dressing on the side and it was the usual Louie dressing. All on all, a perfectly good salad, large too. The only thing I didn't care for was the crab was not in bite-sized chunks. It was a more shredded texture. Upon reflection, the shrimp might have been a better choice. I enjoyed the view of the waterfront and the rock. Might have lingered over my meal but was driven out by the two lightweights at the bar raising a ruckus. The Bistro closes early for a place serving dinner, 7pm. Open for breakfast and lunch too. Plenty of outside tables. They appear to offer a wide selection of beer and wine. Located in Marina Square with plenty of convenient...
