Morro Bay T Pier (Otter Viewing Area) — Attraction in Morro Bay

What can I say about Morro Bay. Everything. It has a beach, the ocean, the food, some stores and The View. Now what they don't tell you is that Morro Bay probably has some of the friendliest, kindest, outgoing, caring as well as helpful individuals I've ever been around. Not only that they they don't tell you that it comes with the peace. This place doesn't get as crowded as the other beaches with Cayucos nearby you can buy these two places that are very close and near to one another and I tell you you'll be so at peace because it is not overcrowded. And yes it does have shops maybe not like the stores or so-called outlets that seem to be nearby or the expensive clothes stores as many that will satisfy teenagers. But these places do have stores great place to get Surfer outfits or pick up a nice jewelry or like I said food. But it's that lack of all these stores that clutter the beach up that attracts so many people. That's what makes this beach one of my favorites but if you want to come get some camping on or just Lounge the beach or see some nice tide pools you know get in touch with nature this is the place to come I recommend Cambria Morro Bay or Cayucos. The film FINDING DORI is set at Sea Otter Nursery in MORRO BAY to bring attention that ‘FINDING NEMO + FINDING DORI moved to MORRO BAY for the waters that are much hotter than tropical MAUI. The Otters were harmed this summer.

We need to build 9 Otter Nurseries so there are redundancies to protect and preserve the wonderful hyper-intelligent sea otters.

There are very few otters left. 99% OTTERS from the Rock of TOMORROW (MORRO Bay America’s twin Rock to the Rock of GIBRALTAR).

OTTERS are perhaps the most intelligent sea animals that use tools like a carpenter.

OTTERS have the longest period of any mammal besides us that takes care of their babies for over 2 years. The OTTERS were recently run out of the Nursery by the 6 story drudger and the new billionaires Mega Yachts.

We came to Morro Bay to see the southern sea otters! We went to the T-Pier and was disappointed that there were no otters in the spaces between the piers— fear not! There is another location you can go to if you don’t see the sea otters at the T pier!

We asked a local where we could find the otters and they call the kelp forest closer to Morro Rock their home! We saw many sea otters in a raft close enough for enjoyable viewing.

Please remember to respect the sea otters by keeping volume low and staying distant. I highly encourage binoculars for best viewing.

Sea otter fact: they are a keystone species and are key to the balance of the ecosystem! Without sea otters, sea urchin populations grow therefore destroying the essential kelp forests. Kelp forests absorb large amounts of carbon. Sea otter conservation is important! 🦦
