I lost my husband to cancer in November of last year and his wish was that his ashes be spread out at sea. One day while visiting Morro Bay, I happened to walk by Lost Isle Adventures being that I'd been on the Tiki boat ride before I thought, I'm going to just ask if they offer this service. To my surprise ash scattering was a service they were getting ready to start offering! Captain Dane Jacobs was there when I stopped by and we agreed to speak in a few weeks to make the arrangements. When I reached out a few weeks later Dane was so pleasant, answered all my questions and explained my options. He was kind and understanding of my loss and just made the process so easy! The day of the service, he explained everything from the departure to the moment we'd be out to sea and how it would all go. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The day was beautiful and Dane and his deckhand were amazing! They played beautiful soft music, were attentive to our needs and allowed us our private time. They have a few options as far as the vessel size you want and/or need. Because I had a few people that were nervous about being on something too small, I opted for the ship that accommodates up to 28 people! I know if my husband could have seen the whole service, he would have been very pleased. He loved being out at sea fishing and now he would find his eternal rest in the place that he loved and found the most peace at. I truly had a sense of closure and having decided to go with Lost Isle Adventures, was the best decision I could have ever made! I am forever grateful to Captain Dane! I will definitely be back to enjoy his other services such as whale watching! 100 stars if I could!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, a hundred times...
Read moreSometimes the unexpected finds and unplanned ventures pan out to be better than anything planned! We had no agenda and stumbled on this friendly guy at a little stand at the top of some stairs leading to a cute little old pontoon boat done up with Tiki decor, a bar area for a bartender, and bench seating for guests. We were offered a sunset cocktail cruise leaving in an hour for only $20 each. The tour would include a cruise around the bay, close ups to the Sea Otters and Sea Lions, and a buzz of Morro Rock while catching a sunset and being served fun theme styled cocktails. It was everything promised and more! We were kindly allowed to bring snacks and the personable bartender made me a fun non-alcoholic drink to enjoy while everyone else enjoyed her fun alcoholic concoctions. The captain/ tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and quite the witty comedian with an excellent choice in music! Everything was just fabulous! Best $20 spontaneous tour to date!! We would like to return and do the day tour! Good people with...
Read moreCustomer service is horrible. They suck! We drove over form the valley to treat my mom to lunch and a harbor Cruise. I Tried to purchase tickets on the phone when we arrived in Morro Bay but they wouldn't let me. They said tickets are first come first serve. I walked with Mom six blocks because there was no parking spaces available. 90 years old trying to navigate sidewalk construction with a walker only to find out that they didn't have anymore room on the boat when we arrived. And to top it off, they raised tickets from $10 to $25 a person. When Captain Stew passed away, (there competition) the good bay cruise. Lost Isle started taking complete advantage of everyone, charging twice as much and offering no additional service. It's nuts not to be able to reserve a seat/ticket. No idea how difficult it was for my mom to get there, it ruined the entire trip! I will never ever use Lost Isle again. I hope your boat sinks! I would discourage anyone else from using this business as well. Worthless,...
