I came to Costco for the first time today and where I found nothing but courtesy from the men working on the floor I found the opposite with the cashier. The cashier number 815 Karan was more interested in what another cashier was doing on her break rather than working. She did not advise us on how to approach the register and when we follow the signs that said keep heavy items into the cart we followed suit. When she finally stopped yelling across the room at another cashier about what another associate was doing on her break she finally turned and told me that she was not going to touch anything in the cart because my child was in it. I do understand that children are supposed to ride in the front of the cart but my child has spina bifida and is too large to fit in the front and too weak to walk the entire store. She had been focused on for customers and let me know that I needed to remove everything from the cart I would have been happy to do so and preparation for checking out but again she wasn't worried about us she was worried about so-and-so on her break. She then continued to tell me how I am endangering my child and apparently not a good mother. We do the best we can under our circumstances and trying to push a manual wheelchair while also trying to push the cart by myself would have been a difficult process. Sometimes we have to find creative alternatives to accommodate a special needs child. Karan needs to go through sensitivity training as well as proper customer service training because she seems to be lacking in both areas. It is also unfortunate that the last impression I had before I left the store was offensive and complete lack of a positive customer experience. All she has shown is that special needs people are NOT...
Read moreOn May 18th I visited Costco. Overall I had a pleasant experience at Costco until I get to checkout. I wasn't able to find some bacon bits/chunks for my Salad. I saw a lady walking around looking as if she was assisting the Customers so I ask my Son to go ask her/Renee where he could find the bacon bits/chunks. He stood there and said excuse me three times and was not acknowledged by Renee while she was talking with another Customer about something none related to Costco which I can understand people talk. But, what I didn't appreciate was Renee/Slick mouth. The Cashier ask me was everything ok I said no my Son has been waiting three minutes to ask for assistance with finding bacon bits/chunks. Now mind you Son said excuse me to Renee three time to get her attention for assistance. But, I'm several feet away from Renee and she finally decided to say while still chatting it up with the other lady. Let me see what they want since people are talking about me. Meaning she heard what I said to the Cashier that was assisting me. But, again she never acknowledged my Son. I wanted to share my experience this was the first time I've experienced this type of behavior at Costco. My older Son got upset and he cursed because he said she was nasty/Renee. I calmed him down Renee went and got the bacon bits/chunks and we went home. I normally shop at the Cumberland location but I was in the area so I stopped to grab a few things from this store.

Read moreAs someone who has been a Costco member for most of their life, I had heard of the elusive “Costco Business Center” but never visited. With a lot fewer locations in the US than the traditional warehouse, I am fortunate to have one in my state. I will say the trek to get there is a decent drive from where I live but I had so much fun visiting.
They had so many options for businesses but I was even fascinated as a consumer. They had neon OPEN signs, lots of kitchen utensils and pots and pans. It was really nice since people who have vending machines shop there so they sold stuff more individually than multi-pack (ex. Instead of a variety pack of lays you could buy one box of a single flavor). Personally I like this option as there are a lot of flavors I don’t like. They had amazing deals on meat and cheese in bulk. I decided to buy one of their king size boxes of Superpretzel. For $11, I got 20 king size pretzels for almost the price of a couple small ones. When I went (on a Saturday night) it was near empty so the shopping experience was pleasant. I will definitely be back!
I will say this is not your traditional Costco. They do not have a food court and no clothing/home goods section. It’s mainly for restaurants and businesses, hence Costco business center. They do have a...
