Today, I attempted to eat at this Waffle House. Just a week ago I ate at this same location and my experience was great! However, today was quite different. I entered and approached the front counter for assistance. There were two waitresses there chatting. I asked to be seated at a table. I was instructed to have a sit in one of the silver chairs until a table became available. I patiently waited for about 10 - 15 mins before two young men walked in and seated themselves at a a dirty empty table near the restrooms. I thought for sure I’d be seated next because I was there first! I didn’t complain, I just continued to wait patiently. Moments later I was advised the restaurant was busy and if I wanted service I would have sit at a low table or at the counter and that there had to be two to a table. Last week, I ate alone at table - while it was busy. If I didn’t run the risk of another injury - I’m legally disabled (TBI and spinal cord injury) I would have sat at the counter. And sitting at the low table isn’t pleasant for me either. There’s usually food and trash on the floor (work station) workers yelling out order at each other and a lot of close contact and movement in that area. I cant enjoy a meal and look at trash at the same time. I just wanted to have a a hot meal but the experience was ruined by a lack luster waitress that decided it was more important to stand and chat rather than do her job and provide a little customer service. Read moreI AM SO... Impressed. Like many customers I read the majority of restaurant reviews before I set foot into a restaurant. This staff was awesome. Every employee had on a hairnet, yes. When I entered the employee was mopping the floor, wet floor sign clearly visible, with, wait for it, HOTWATER, AH! ServSafe much? Even the windows were being cleaned, it appeared the Team member were finishing task before the end of the shift. They clearly pay attention to details, even the light globes were clean, no signs of dust. This restaurant was clean, I looked for myself (OCD). Everything smelled clean, no mildew, old, or musty smell. I was comfortable. Placed my order, and expected nothing but the best food. I knew it. My order was perfect, cooked the way I requested, and in a timely manner for the customer volume. The Team communicated with ease, everyone knows what to do, and how to do it effectively. Management clearly knows this is an All-Star Team, and the Team knows the goal, I heard them talking about sales! I'm impressed. Here were my highlights; friendless of the staff, cleanliness, timely interaction to take my order, and to receive it. Ha! And my food even came with a fresh refill (I didn't even know my cup was gone), and the atmosphere. Negatives, I couldn't hang out all day with the staff. Read moreCalled this location this morning 9/20/2018 at 6:38am and placed a TO GO order. Got there at 6:47am and pulled into the parking lot and could see the cashier and cook standing around talking. I walk in and the cashier asks me if it’s to go or dine in and I give her my name saying that I’m picking up a to go order. At that point the cook starts to make my order. I’m standing there in confusion as I had called in my order 9 minutes ago. I ask the cashier “so my food isn’t ready?” and she says no. I sit down at that point now annoyed. I then ask her “you guys don’t make TO GO orders when they’re placed over the phone?” and she says no they don’t start making the food until the customer comes into the establishment so it’ll still be hot. I’m like are you serious. I ask I her “so what’s the point of calling to place a TO GO order for it to be ready when I get ghere? If that’s the case I would just wait until I get here to place the order” I get no response she just hands me my receipt to take my payment. I’m extremely disappointed with the poor service I received this morning. From my understanding, the purpose of a TO GO is for the convenience of the paying customer to call in their order and have it ready or at least in progress when they get to the establishment.
