I dropped by rug off at McGrews 3rd Generation Carpet Cleaning on 8/20/2018 and paid in full $380.00. They told me my rug would not be ready for another week due to short staffing or not being able to find employees. I went back a week later they could not find the rug . I called a few days later and they said they where cleaning it they would not retuning any of my multiple call's. I week later on 8/17/2018 I came to pick up the rug. (And help search for the rug a second time ),The rug had been damaged , there edging was discolored an orange color and frayed. When I finally got in touch with the owner he told me my carpet was soaked in dog urine ( Simply not true ) and the I just wanted money out of him and that I was one of those hard to please people . Also that I better come get my rug or they where going to throw it out...... I am going to try a Civil court . My rug was a $2000.00 rug I bought from Pottery Barn. I saved up along time for that rug ;0( . The owner told my Pottery Barn is a bad vendor and sells bad rugs . Not true either . He also told me he would Counter sue me for my efforts to sue him for running my rug and not replacing it . So for all the above there is only a 1Star you can give nothing lower...

I think it was about the 1st week of January when I brought in a 5 X 3.5 Afghan rug for cleaning ,and to reattach 1/2 of a fringe.I told them it was bought in Afghanistan by my son who was an Army officer serving there near Iran. A blonde lady was very pleasant and helpful. She also said it would cost me $25-$35 as an estimate. As I was waiting for my invoice another lady with black hair came up after a long wait and handed me an invoice for(?) $75.00 as I recollect. I asked her what was the difference, She said the wasn't considered in the first estimate. Well I needed the rug back soon so I said O.K. I asked when the rug might be ready and the second lady said she didn't know. Two weeks later,I stopped in and the Black haired lady said she wasn't sure when it would be done. She was brisk. The blonde lady wasn't there. A week later later, I stopped in and a new secretary told me it wasn't done yet,but soon. A week later it was done, I paid,and left. Nobody had called to tell me the rug was ready. I'm glad to have a chance to reply to your survey. I was unhappy as you can tell. Yours sincerely,

McGrew's helped pick out carpeting and vinyl flooring for our vacation rental. The selections were spot on as we receive many compliments the overall style of the bungalow and flooring and requests for the vinyl-flooring manufacturer's name. What I equally appreciate about McGrew's service is how the owner handled a miscommunication between myself and her staff. The miscommunication was equally my error but she stepped up and helped make it right. She could have let it go but instead she chose not to look the other way and to help come to a satisfying resolution. How she handled this situation says a lot about the kind of business she runs and the pride she takes in her services. I will be back when I need carpeting or flooring again.
