Customer service is terrible. I asked assistance for some Christmas ribbon, showed the Caucasian woman, brown hair with glasses, the location for ribbon as there spot was empty, price tag there. There was a box there with other ribbon as it seems they come in specific sets per box, which that was available, not what i needed. She didn’t check stock for what I asked, didn’t scan the tag, didn’t ask for the sku number. She simply said she hasn’t seen it and has boxes still to open. I understand they have stock to go through, but there is not effort to even see if it was accessible. Walked around to where she indicated where more similar colored items were, didn’t find anything. I asked someone else for assistance, informed her it showed there was stock and the location with tag there. The other lady with brown hair and glasses stopped her from helping, came up to me and said “I told you we didn’t” with such attitude. I think as a customer I should be able to determine if I can ask assistance from another associate, i should be able to seek further assistance if I saw fit as well. Also wasn’t aware that there’s a limit on questions that I can ask there. So the second associate, didn’t even let me finish and walked off mid sentence as I was telling her that I wanted to see if it was accessible. Customer service has seriously gone downhill everywhere, associates have bad attitudes, can’t bother to help you, can’t bother to scan or look to see if it’s located anywhere else. It was my first time at this location and seeing how poorly they treated me, i doubt I’ll return. Associate at the checkout wasn’t...
Read moreVery poor customer service at the Mt. Pleasant location. I came here to have pictures framed bc I heard it was less expensive, but it was still very expensive (around $700 for 2 diplomas and a small painting). Then when we picked up, one of the diplomas was missing, and none of the frames had wires on the back. They did provide a small plastic piece for “wire free hanging”. I called the store back so that I could pick up the missing diploma. The person who answered the phone put me on hold for 5 minutes, then told me the framing department would be open 11-5 the next day. I went there and it was closed. I explained the situation to an elderly cashier at the front named Bridget, and she was EXTREMELY rude and condescending! She stared at me like I was speaking jibberish rolled her eyes when I asked if she could leave a note with the framing department. She was very unhelpful and not at all apologetic that I had been misinformed by a Michael’s employee about the department hours and wasted my time. The 3 times I went to the framing department, I waited at least 20 min for service each time…they are painfully slow. They did install wires on the back of the pictures at no charge when I brought them back. Apparently it is standard to not have wires now and you have to request it. I will not be returning to Michael’s for framing services in the future.
I will say, there was 1 helpful employee at this location named Manny who was very friendly and offered to leave a note with the framing department, and again offered help when I saw him the second time I came to get the...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I went to this store after my shift at work (still in work uniform). I just graduated college and was ecstatic to get my degree framed. I worked four long hard years on this thing and corona had ruined enough for me. This was a little bit of sunshine. So I went in to ask about getting a CUSTOM frame. No one was there so a worker got someone to meet me back there. The woman asked me what I needed. I told her I was interested in getting a Custom (CUSTOM) frame for my diploma. She asked me what I was thinking about getting and I said that I was wanting something smaller framed. She didn’t pull out options. Went to a office and came back out and said she would help me look at the frames offered on the floor. She said custom starts at 169. I was in shock. I told her I knew that and I wanted a CUSTOM frame. It’s a college diploma. She went back to the office again. I high tailed it out. I went to this place with my significant other so he could get his diploma framed and had the greatest experience. Was I treated like this because I had a work uniform on? I felt very judged and the workers need a lesson on not judging or assuming things about customers. I just spend tons of money on my education. Yes... I’ll spend more that 169 dollars on a nice...
