We had a lovely stay. Not far away from a lot of fun local attractions, but removed enough to where it's quieter. It's not so far from other houses that it's isolated in a scary way - but far enough to where it was private and quiet. Lawn furniture to chill in. Really nice sauna, lovely surroundings, forest and rocks and moss and lichen, access to lovely rocky beach on Lake Superior, beautiful view of the lake. There is a water pump in the kitchen that goes into a sink, so you can wash dishes that way but it's not drinkable. They had a water cooler and plenty of extra gallons for our use. There is a fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, cook top, silverware, plates, etc. Also wifi in the house. We were able to bring our dog for an extra fee. The only drawback was the compost toilet was not usable - apparently it may be, but the instructions on how to use it are confusing so we were told to not use it because people keep using it wrong and we couldn't exactly figure it out either. So more clear instructions with step by step photos would help there. But they provided a portapotty instead, placed near the parking area. We wanted and expected an experience between cabin and camping, so we didn't mind this at all. Lovely place, highly recommend. So much better than staying in a busy hotel with less of a good view and a ton of other people, and honestly not much more expensive and maybe even the...

Vacation rental: Fish Cabin, Step Up from Camping rental. Bit of an understatement (just currently no potable water inside). Very clean and comfortable!

Beautiful cabin, yard, right on shores of Lake Superior (shoreline is beautiful - huge boulders, awesome surf, beautiful sunrises!!); sauna (doubles as bathing area with hot water), fireplace and fire pit, 2 skylights, covered porch, nice kitchen equipment from good quality hot plate, dishes, coffee/maker, etc.

Perfect place to get away from it all. Had a wonderful time, wish I could have stayed another week. Owners/hosts VERY responsive to questions...

Melinda Savola was the sellers agent. She was very responsive to us as potential buyers and helped us view the property initially by video, because we were out of town. She replied almost immediately to texts and emails and was available to discuss issues arising. Even though she was not representing us, we felt she was very honest and we trusted her completely.
