Continuing on our road trip through Michigan, our next stop was to see the Pictured Rock National Lakeshore. We stayed a couple of nights in a yurt and had a lovely time seeing the sights. We also enjoyed lunch at the Driftwood Deli in Munising. One awesome thing about this deli is it is actually connected to the ByGeorge Brewing Co! They had an awesome patio where we were able to enjoy a couple of beers and some tasty food. My wife had the chicken bacon panini topped with garlic aioli, spinach, aroma tomato, red onion, muenster, and mozzarella cheese on a ciabatta bun ($11). This was an outstanding sandwich and it was served with some housemade flavored pretzels and dip. Our kids enjoyed the hot dog and the grilled cheese (both $7). These were nearly the same serving size as an adult sandwich, so plenty of food for the little ones. I really enjoyed the chicken Milanese grinder, with breaded chicken, fresh mozzarella, tomato basil salad, arugula, and a lemon mayo sauce ($13). The Cuban bread was very tasty and pressed on the panini maker as well. This was a wonderful stop after a busy morning of kayaking on Lake Superior. Highly recommended

Stopped for veggie/vegan menu items and enjoyed a hearty meal. The cauliflower bites are not a side snack but a full meal that cost $10 and can easily be shared between 2-3 people. They have different flavors of toss-sauce and you can pick up to 2. We split our Portobello Panini too and had food left over to take with us. The pretzels are delicious and extremely salty. We recommend trying the Superior Kombucha, made right in Marquette, MI! The glass bottle claims that this company takes back their bottles for reuse so we'll be investigating this closed-loop business practice and hope it pans out. Zero people were masking between staff or patrons but we got no guff for wearing ours inside while ordering and were able to sit comfortably outside in their fenced patio area. Dogs are welcome in the patio space. Bathrooms are located down the hall inside the brewery.

The best meal we had in Munising! We had the Italian, Muffuletta, Chicken Bacon, and Pulled Pork Sandwiches. Each one was packed with flavor and toasted to perfection. Each sandwich comes with their house made pretzels which are dusted with spices and garlic and are spectacular. The sauce they serve to dip the pretzels tastes ranch based and is the perfect complement. If you don’t like pretzels, you can swap it for a bag of chips. For gluten free options, they have bread that is prepared in a separate area for celiacs. The pulled pork sandwich was safe and delicious. A big pro of this place is that you can order your sandwich and have it delivered to the connected brewery and get a drink. A perfect way to spend lunch after taking a pictured rocks cruise or hike!

It was a mixed bag. I had a great Reuben sandwich, but my wife had a vegetarian rice bowl that was devoid of flavor. They were extremely busy and had actually run out of many items on the menu. Because of this we had to order some things we would not normally get. My son had a Mac and cheese creation with chicken that was pretty good. It's in the same building as By George brewery, so we sat outside on the brewery patio and the food was brought to us there, so that was nice. I would return if in the area again, but maybe earlier in the day before they run out of supplies.

Nice little bar food/ sandwich shop. Two dinning areas, one bar like other family friendly seating. I think the menu was little different during the ice fest season. Lesser options than others have posted. Me being vegetarian only option was beyond Patti burger, which was good. And cauliflower wings was crispy and nice too. The staff was friendly and fast. The dinning area had a board with huge adult coloring pages. My son went down town on them. Will surely be back if in the area.

Gorgeous Cafe with a convenient grab and go cooler with salads, sandwiches, wraps, sides, and drinks. They also had a sweets stand in the middle of the lobby space with chocolates, chips, and candies. Staff was super friendly and willing to help us feel welcomed and taken care of. They offered a $12 beyond meat burger on a cibbata bun with cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce and a side of season hard pretzels with cheese. Delivered quickly and with great presentation.
