First trip and last trip to this store! The one star is for the two nice ladies who were putting up stock but stopped o answer my question. While they did not carry the item I was looking for, I found something else that I liked and saw several other items I planed to purchase when I had more time. I was on my way to the checkout, when another customer saw me and rushed to get to the cashier ahead of me. I said nothing but got in line behind her. The customer told me that I had to go around the long aisle and get in line. I told her there was no one else in line. She pointed out a lady who was at the far end of the aisle who was obviously still shopping, which I pointed out to her. Again, she said "You have to go around" and pointed which way I was to go. A blind man could see that I was having trouble walking due to an injured knee, but this CUSTOMER was telling me to walk down and around a long aisle when there was no reason for it. All this time, the clerk said nothing, just stood there with a grin on her face. I stated that I didn't have to walk around, in fact I didn't have to shop there. I put the item back and walked out the door. I will never step foot in there again. I will shop where I will get better service and the customers are not allowed to dictate to...

The manager/ person in charge on August 7th in mid afternoon was not accommodating at all. My husband (who never shops) was contemplating buying a lion figurine from this store for our child, who really wanted this toy. It was obviously not in “new condition.” It had a price tag that was created again, since another prior child probably messed it up, or it was a return trying to be sold. The manager made it clear it was fine, and absolutely would not discount item at all (it had a squeaker that did not work at 19.99, and he was willing to buy with any type of discount) . In my experience in customer service, you try harder to at least be kinder to your customers, than this person. We ended up buying ANOTHER item (calendar dry erase board) with a huge dent, and my husband did not feel comfortable telling this manager. I am so upset I was taking our daughter for a bathroom break, because I would have made this known in person...

The Outer Banks HomeGoods is the best! I shop all of HomeGoods, TJMaxx, and Marshalls stores as an interior decorator several days a week, from Tidewater to Raleigh. I am ALWAYS thrilled to be in the OBX store as it is by far the most clean and well organized. Even more importantly, the customer service is top notch. The management, Melody and Sabina are always, very helpful, professional, and friendly, as well as the associates who are always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. I never find myself backed up in line, management is always willing to help load large items, and I am always greeted with a friendly hello.
