This is such a cool store. Only about a mile from Jockeys ridge. They have so many neat things. Must stop when vacationing around there. There are a lot of tourist gifts. They had shirts, umbrellas, towels, beach gear, hats, lots of handmade items. They were so sweet to my son who has autism and can be loud. There are several fun sensory toys squishes we found. They had a kids section as well with stuffed animals and tourist type toys. They had a covered patio where you can relax and chat. The location was great because it was just a mile down the road from Jockeys ridge. The cashier was so kind and told us about a play park that was just a few miles down the road. They had a large parking lot and there was no wait to get in. They had a little bit of something for everyone. They had a few jewelry pieces that were handmade and delicate. This store should be anyone stop and check out while in the area. The company has been around a while. In the 90’s I used to stop at one that has since burned down. This is a smaller version but I really was impressed with the staff and the amount of things they had for sale. No one could go in this store and come out...
Read moreThis is a cute place to visit when you're on vacation here. But it's just a bunch of like glitzy things and most of it random and not exactly directly related to the Outer Banks. But frankly if you want a whole bunch of Outer Banks branded stuff than just go to Wings which is a great place for that. This place just has a bunch of random things, I got a good pair of sunglasses which I'm completely satisfied with and a pair of winter gloves LOL. Randomly I just needed a pair and there they were which I did not expect. But this place just kind of has like a little department for almost everything from jewelry and artsy stuff to clothing and knick-knacks of various kinds. It's a good place to visit but again if you want that I've been to the Outer Banks branded stuff you won't find so much of that there. But they do keep to the beach theme I will give them that there is a lot of beach sort of vibe. I mean there's a little bit but overall it's just a really fun vibrant...
Read moreI was reading the review from 6/13/23, and it describes the exact experience my husband and I had. We Tavel to OBX every April to spend time with family who live in Raleigh, NC. We had never been to this store and it was right next to our rental. I guarantee it was the same associate. Woman 60-70 pouring wine who was rude and condescending. When I asked to taste a wine that was $40/bottle she told me “no you can’t afford it, and you wouldn’t know what an un-oaked Chardonnay is.” Really odd way to sell wine. She could have engaged in conversation to ask my interest in wine. I would have shared we frequent vineyards in our home state of Michigan, and my favorite wine is buttery Chardonnay. It was interesting to judge my budget… I was dressed like I was vacationing on the beach, but clearly I can afford a beach front rental… There were several other unwelcomed comments (including about my son). We have zero intentions to step foot in that...
