Island Snowball Company — Restaurant in Nags Head

My wife and I are both from Baltimore, MD...the hometown of the snowball. We decided to stop by Island Snowball Co. to see what they had to offer. Come to find out, the owners and operators are from Baltimore and have brought the authentic snowball experience to the Nag Head, NC area! The snowballs were fantastic...I had mine with vanilla ice cream on the bottom and my wife had her spearmint flavored snowball covered with marshmallow creme. In fact, the lady behind the counter asked if we were from Baltimore as she said the spearmint / marshmallow combo was a dead giveaway. I love this place, of course it's in season right now. So go off hours and avoid the line.. I am a hard core glutton for cotton candy snow cones, and my grandchildren love it all.. grab a repeat customer card, you can easily earn a free snow cone" just remember to ask to have it punched".. Ok I've gone there in the past with my kiddos and we all have loved it but I just got food poisoning from them and I wouldn't normally share that with readers on a reveiw but I have to be honest when I called them she kinda seemed like really I can't believe it and I truly ate no where else at all it had to have been their Hawaiian cream which should never be left on a counter for more the at most 2hrs and it is left out all day in their shop so buyer beware of...
