So Iām really trying to be pretty reasonable and fair here. Im a local and have been coming here for years and the company I work for orders probably thousands of dollars worth of food from them for years which I usually pick up. We always tip way more than generously due to the fact that weāre locals and we get it but also because they are usually pretty fast, reliable, and have great food. Tonight I put an order in online about 30 minutes before leaving work after working a 12 hour day. I figure like always by the time I get done with work and head over my order will be just about ready. But this was sadly not the case tonight. I arrive and was told by a very rude male staff member that my order is going to be an hour and a half wait. I tell him I ordered online like 30 minutes ago but he says itās still going to be an hour and a half. I really politely just tell him that they really really should put somewhere on the website or during the online ordering process that orders placed will take over an hour and a half. Now look I get it, stuff happens, itās the summer, theyāre busy and who knows maybe very short staffed tonight. But a hand written sign at the register really really doesnāt warn anyone whoās called or placed an order online. Im exhausted and would have gone elsewhere. Now my issue isnāt the wait. Itās the male employee who super rudely told me that it did in fact say on my confirmation email that there would be an hour and a half wait. I checked multiple times, checked the website again and nothing. Besides even then by the time you get a confirmation email youāve already ordered. But he was incredibly rude and basically made it out like it was my fault and I should have known when thereās physically no way I could have. No apology, no āhey Iām so sorry we had an issueā nothing. My whole issue is that A) they absolutely should warn people that the wait for a small to go order is more than an hour and a half but B) most importantly this employee was incredibly rude. The rest of the staff was aloof and Iād ask them a question and theyād go to the back to check and never come back. Never once was anyone even remotely apologetic of the fact that as of right now Iām sitting in a parking lot waiting two hours past when I got off work for food. Idk I donāt want to just blame this young man because ultimately everything comes down to management. Either they need to treat their employees better or they need to have some retraining on just basic customer service skills. But idk maybe they just donāt care because itās summer and theyāre never going to see any of these tourists again. Either way that guy was beyond rude and I really hope he was just having an off day because I very politely just told Jen that they should please please update their website so folks know how long the wait is gonna be before they order their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was on vacation with my family and I really should have known better to order a pizza from a place called "Yellow Submarine". However, I was hungry and I like the Beatles, so I decided to give it a try. I called them, and put in an order first the lady who took my order did not know the menu and had to ask someone to help her with the menu, but that is a small thing. However, I gave them my hotel number and address verbatim, and prepaid for the pizza over the phone. Then I, and my family begin to wait, in the midst of the wait I fell asleep, we all fell asleep, when I awoke I noticed no knock, no pizza, so I looked at my phone and noticed a missed call, I called the awful submarine, I mean't Yellow Submarine back and they immediately put the manager on the phone he begins to yell at me about giving the wrong address, and not answering the door, and all of this, and I asked the manager, I said "Sir, what sense does it make for me to order a pizza, prepay for it, and then not be here to get it" he admitted he did not know, but he said he is taking his drivers side, and not mine the customer who prepaid and only wanted his product. I asked him why was he yelling at me, and he said because he was frustrated with tourist customer ordering pizza and not being there to get it, I told the man I was there and his driver made the error, I then said I was not pleased with how he talked to me so I requested a refund, seeing that he refused to bring the pizza back. Nevertheless, to make a long story short I did some research and discovered the beach bum driver who was probably high as kite went to the wrong hotel, and knocked on the wrong door. These idiots... not only made the mistake but they berated a customer over their own error. To add insult to injury I had to call 5 times to get my refund, a couple of times they just hung up on me, but eventually out of sheer annoyance by my calls they finally applied my refund. What jerks, avoid this place...

We waited , and there was only 2 others inside, so the wait I had hoped would be worth the cost and extra time.. finally sandwiches done, we took the food, got home,( a 25 minute drive away in Mann's Harbor) looked at my sub and was totally disappointed, no mushrooms, which is what I requested and was even printed on my receipt, so they took order correct just didn't pay attention... Where I ordered NO onions there instead was""plenty of onions"".. and that's it... The extra I paid for mushrooms was ""no mushrooms"", no mayo" why?? Not sure they were not busy just I guess didn't care... so I sadly didnt get to eat mine, and though I appreciated, after I called" speaking to the young man who took order" he apologized and the effort was appreciated , I asked to speak to his manager but not available?? The young man kindly said he'd see about a free replacement since I was unable to eat mine, only issue is I have treatments happening that interfere with eating during the week... And I just didn't want to go thru a ordeal where I'm begging for it to be done correctly.. so oh well" and btw" I still tipped 25% if that counts for anything, being a local I always want to support our local businesses.. I guess next time I will definitely check the bag before I leave..
