(Copied from Meridian review, with better clarity and date specifics). 8/26 The sales associates, for the most part, are nice people. The jeweler is terrible. Never met him, but he obviously doesn’t know what he is doing. I took my ring in to get one of the prongs on the big middle diamond fixed, as it was bent and sharp. This was May 20. I was told that my ring would take over a month to get fixed because the jeweler was out of town. I waited and it was ready when they said it would be. I was so happy to have it back that I went home right away. An hour in to having it back, I noticed that the prong was still not fixed. A little better, but still a problem. I also noticed that one of the prongs on the smaller diamonds had a similar issue too, so I took it back and pointed out both to them. They said it was not correct and that they would send it back to him, but I would have to wait another month. Frustrating, but I wanted to get it done right. I went in on 8/8 to pick it up. Guess what? It STILL wasn’t fixed. They were very nice to me about it and got on the phone with the goldsmith and they even put it on rush for me because I had been waiting so long. Well, I went to get it on 8/23. Things on the big diamond looked good, at last. I examined it all very carefully this time. I noticed the small prong I had been worried about looked a little off still, so I mentioned it to the sales associate. He said it looked fine to him and I said, “well, I just don’t want another issue, so thought I’d ask. You’re the experts so if you say it looks fine, then I must be good to go.” In hind sight, I should have insisted that it wasn’t ok. I think I was just desperate to have this over with, so I just trusted him. I think he just wanted to get rid of me honestly. Well, after wearing the ring for a couple days, I can tell you that the small prong is most DEFINITELY not ok! It is totally bent wrong, it is a little sharp, and it’s a problem. I am so annoyed and upset. I don’t know if I even want to go back to them to have them get it right because the jeweler OBVIOUSLY either doesn’t care that he isn’t doing it right, or he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing and is just incompetent. At this point I’m considering taking it ANYWHERE else, but I also think they should fix what they said they would fix. If I do go back for this fix, I’m never going back again after, and never recommending them to anyone. I’ll update my review if anything changes.
9/16/24 update It got worse. I took my ring to the Nampa store because that is where the goldsmith is located. In short, he broke the tip of the prong on the big diamond completely off. They are sending it out to someone else to have it fixed with a laser. Im only agreeing to this though because a different, hopefully better, goldsmith will fix it.
Update 10/1 Finally got my ring back! JD&Co is where they sent it to and it looks beautiful! Finally fixed correctly! My opinion of Jensen’s goldsmith hasn’t changed. He never was able to fix a simple issue of prongs, and now I have proof that it was nothing too hard and I wasn’t asking for too much. (I didn’t take pics of the original middle diamond prong. First two pics are of the small diamond prong. Next two are pictures taken by the jewelry store that don’t illustrate as clearly the issue, but it’s there. Last three are of the ring fixed properly.) Lastly, if you ever want to speak to the goldsmith himself directly, expect that they will side step you. I voiced twice that I wanted to speak to him, only to be sidestepped, and later stated how I would like an apology from him, and was sidestepped again. When I asked the store manager why I was never allowed to speak to the goldsmith, I was told QUOTE “Oh I don’t know why that happened. We always allow customers to speak to him.” Dude, YOU are one of the people who sidestepped me, and you’re doing it again right now! I don’t know what they have to hide, but it’s strange to me that they won’t allow me to talk to the goldsmith myself, and that they don’t require him to take...
Read moreThe worst experience of customer service ever. Dropped off a chain to be fixed on 8/15 and pick up on 8/31. I mentioned if i can pay extra and have it ready by 8/26 which is my GF birthday. They confirmed that they will try. On 8/26 I called and they said and confirmed that it wont be ready until 8/31. On the 31st i called before i drove down to pick the necklace and they said that its not ready and they havent even send it out to get it fixed . It was still sitting at the store. Keep in mind that they never called me on the 31st or before that to say that it wont be ready. If i drove down without calling I would of waisted my time and gas.... Anyways, their excuse is that the guy is on vacation . It wont be ready until the 14th of September. I said fine and how about sooner . They said that they will have to send it to Twin Falls to get it ready by the 7th of September. I agreed to 09/07 pick up. On 9/3 after labor day, they called me after i was so frustrated to tell me that the 7th is not gonna work , it will have to be the 14th and thats even iffi ..... I was so frustrated and deceived by this worst CS, I picked it up 9/4 because i lost trust and respect for this establishment . Not sure who the owner is or if its a franchise, but this was the worst experience Ive had in a while. I dont really sit there and write negative reviews because i have time in my hand. This will hopefully get the attention of the person responsible to customer satisfaction and fix the issue before its too late. They had 5 people sitting in the front doing whatever. Their job should include calling customers and letting them know the status of their orders. If they cant call because they're watching TikTok, then At a minimum, have the customer get notifications of their orders via text . Communication is key here. You waisted my time and lost opportunity of important dates to present a necklace that they had no intention of fixing eventough they got paid $300...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE. I came with my own gems to get a quote on what it would cost to have them set into earrings. Their internet didn't work and they are in an internet dead spot so I couldn't check on my phone. They used their books to pull up styles and pricing and the initial price for the earring post and mounting seemed reasonable until the supervisor directed our salesperson that was the price for a single post, not for a pair, which then seemed quite high as the price doubled from $75 to $150 JUST for the gold earring studs the stones would be set in (very simple stud posts). I had 2 other sets of stones that were slightly smaller with slightly cheaper costs for the stud posts. The charge to set the stones into the posts was also on the steep side at $80 per pair. Unfortunately I decided to place an order anyway. At home I did some checking and they had indeed doubled the charge as earring stud posts are typically sold in pairs and I could find very similar pairs of posts as the ones I had ordered for around $75 (range $51 to $90). I went back the following day to try and correct the charge. The supervisor doubled down on the price being per post and actually claimed I had gotten a deal because each post should have been $82, or $164 for the pair. She refused to make any adjustments at all and refused to cancel my order and refund my money. I have tried to resolve this through their customer support without response. Overall a very poor experience and I would not return or...
