I usually go to Ulta just to relax a little and get a couple of stuff I need to update myself on. Last night unfortunately, I was approached by an African American girl, thick long box braids, short stature (5’3?), brown eyes, black hair and very rude. She first came around the aisle I was in without introduction and made a statement AFTER I had made a statement I needed white eyeliner. I did not tell her this, she was ease-dropping from another aisle. As she approached me she was condescending in her mannerisms, walked closely behind me and stopped in front of the NYX white eyeliner. Under her breath she called me psycho and had her right side turned away from me. I couldn’t believe it, so I spoke up and rebuttal with my own comment. I find it hard to believe that I was placed in a horrible situation by this employee of Ulta, who is suppose to be welcoming to customers and helpful. She scowled at me and then turned her right side even more. I believe she had her phone on her. Why this person chose to provoke me, be rude and distasteful is beyond me. I am a veteran that suffers from PTSD and I CLEARLY had my service dog with me. She went out of her way to be rude and condescending. I spoke to the supervisor that happened to be working that night and made a complaint. I asked for the associates name and was denied, I asked for the supervisors name and was told Matty. After we were done speaking, she and I headed to the checkout counter for me to pay. I watched the supervisor ask to speak to that employee, only to hear giggling within the aisles. I’m pretty disappointed over the whole incident and with how the employees were conducting themselves. I will never find myself coming to this location again. Judging by other reviews, saddening that the bad behavior is still...
Read moreSo, to start, when I first went to an Ulta it was when the Hendersonville location first opened and staff then were a bit rude, overbearing, would follow you, have 5-6 people ask if you needed something within 5-10 minutes then seem annoyed if you didn't, they wouldn't call to reschedule an appointment if a stylist left, etc. Now they are AMAZING. They greet you when you come in, seem excited to be there, are attentive, knowledgeable, fun, charismatic, easy to talk to, and I LOVE seeing that the staff has free reign to showcase their own style and makeup looks. It's my go to store now.
That being said...the Green Hills location. I was in the area, and stopped by as I planned on going to the Hendersonville store later that same day anyway. This store is smaller and that's fine. It is set up very nicely and it easy to maneuver around. I walked around awhile. No one greeted me once. Which, ok, sure. Checking out, everyone seemed like they were just...there. Maybe 2 staff looked to be wearing makeup. Now, I don't think anyone should be forced to wear makeup for any job, but wouldn't you want to working in a store that caters to makeup and skincare? I was waiting for the prompt to swipe my card, and let the girl know ot wasn'tallowing the swipe. (I think she was training, and she was very nice, just new and maybe a bit nervous being new.) I guess I got a gift with purchase, so, cool, but rather than someone just letting me know, they all 4 just...walked away. I was confused. The girl behind me was confused. They all walked back and the girl told me about the gift. I thanked her, but all in all it was just, in whole, an awkward experience. You get to work with makeup in Green Hills, at least pretend to be excited. They need to learn from...
Read moreOk so me and my friend were in this ulta and usually we love it other than the long lines however this time was different. We were looking around when a worker came up to us and aggressively thrust products at us and we tried to say no thank you she proceeded to follow us. Soon after I went back to retrieve the item I wanted to purchase hoping the worker would not be present. My friend was waiting for me at the register when the worker came up to me once more and began chasing we down with a product that clearly someone my age would never use, resulting in me leaving the store. After this I continued to enjoy this ulta but yet again, another bad experience came. I realized I was short cashed after leaving and I returned to retrieve my change that I was not originally given. I showed it to the manager who was distant and in her phone and then she called up a man on the cameras to review footage. They defiantly told me I had payed 25 instead of 30 and around 45 minutes later they proceeded to call saying they thought they didn’t give me the right amount of cash. Luckily it was someone other than the manager, who was on break, that caught the mistake and kindly returned my money. Overall this ulta is really...
