I've come to this location several times over the past couple months only because i work across the street and never have I received good customer service. Today though pretty much topped of what I believe to be some of the worse customer service I think you can give. I purchased 3 clubs driver, 3 wood and hybrid which were nearly 1,000 and the first time I used the driver the shaft broke... Took it back said they couldn't do anything and charged me to install another shaft the same day. Although mad I still went through with it because I needed the driver. Used the Driver a couple times and although it seems like they cut it a little too short i still used it and now can hear rattling like the new shaft is going to break as well. Took it back today and spoke to " John " said he was a manager who absolutely had no interest in helping me. First of all when I asked about re-shafting the driver he had to ask another team member because he had no clue if they could even do it. Said he would get back to me which I stood around for awhile just waiting and when he returned said well we don't even keep shafts in stock nor have we since Covid started which I corrected him because their location just a few weeks ago but a replacement on after buying a brand new driver. His tone of voice and Attitude was terrible. He was more interested in Talking to the Female co-worker in the show department than simply helping me..I don't get it do these workers not understand the concept that without the customer they have no business..with no business they have no job. Customer service for these location is at the very bottom of their priority list. Go somewhere...
Read moreWhen I made an order online to be picked up in store same day (since it states it can be picked up same day) I expected it to be ready several hours after I ordered it. I am aware of the 2 hour wait time but after waiting all day with no email I went into the store.I ended up having to purchase the stupid jacket twice (once online and again in store) Turns out my order had been canceled due to being out of stock but I literally walked in and pulled the exact item off the rack!! I walked out with the jacket and a second charge to my debit card. The only help I got from customer service when I called was an expedited release of the funds held on my account (from the online order) -that still hasn't happened. The representative repeatedly asked if I wanted the expedited release as if I wanted the second charge to pend on my account for 6 days with no actual reason! I've never been one to shop and Dick's Sporting Goods and now I know why! It was such a mistake to try and shop here
I truly believe the Rivergate store is at fault seeing as they couldn't fulfill an online order to be picked up in store.. The cashier and manager I talked to were rude and unhelpful and the entire experience...
Read moreBest store left in rivergate. James in the shoe department tonight was absolutely the very best. I have been searching all day different stores to find cleats for my daughter. He was the first of all the stores to even act like he cared. He went and got I dont know how many pairs of shoes and was so friendly and patient. I will return mainly because of his awesome service. What a gentleman. Great employee I sure hope they hold on to him. The store had the best prices on all the items we needed as well. Whole store was in excellent shape. Clean and organized and maintained....
