Best new restaurant in the Nashville area. My exposure to Filipino food is somewhat limited; all I had prior to this was some whole roasted pig and lumpia from a little Filipino community in Uganda. We ordered the 4 most popular entrees, according to our server, as well as pork lumpia and dinner of the ube I've cream for dessert. Sides were the garlic rice and pansit. I will post pictures of everything- I don't remember the names so I'm gonna just describe the dishes, but they were the 4 items on the front of the menu. We had BBQ pork skewers, grilled BBQ pork belly, a dish of crispy little chopped pork with egg, and fried pork belly. The textures and flavors were incredible. Similar to Thai, in the sense that there is a lot of spring onion and limes. We also had an array of delicious sauces: a thin vinegar-based one, a kind of peanut tasting sauce, and a sort of sweet and sour sauce. Everything went so well together, and the little side garnish of mango and carrot salad was an unexpected high note. The ube was delightfully creamy and not too sweet. Service was amazing as well. We will definitely be back. Madison is definitely becoming a hot bed of really diverse...
Read moreIn the middle of TN, Filipino Food! The style of cooking varies but close enough that it carries the flavors of an authentic Filipino dish. We ordered Lechon Kawali, White Rice, Sinigan, and Chicken Skin. The texture of the pork skin was not as crunchy as I am accustomed. It was still fried well enough and be sure to ask for the vinegar dip. The pork pairs well with an acidic dip of vinegar with a hint if sweetness. The sinigan was perfect and some may prefer a clear broth but the little bits of pork was an added benefit. The chicken skin was crispy and like the lechon kamala it works well with a dipping sauce. The lechon kawali was $14.99 and comes with two sides. It's affordable for the quality and amount of food. Today, the restaurant was also serving Lechon by the pound for $16.99. Some may say it's pricey but it's affordable for those who know the amount of work goes into making lechon from a whole side of pork.
We will definitely be back on a day the restaurant has a buffet option.
The kitchen is busy so patience is required. You will not be...
Read moreOkay- this place is truly a gem!! I cannot believe I accidentally stumbled upon this place. First, clean establishment, I’m such a stickler for cleanliness wherever I eat. My family and I were immediately greeted with friendly smile. Chris helped us, and is owner. I didn’t even get a chance to take photos of food because I immediately dug in. Being from California and missing different options of food. I was so stoked to found a little of home right here in Gallatin! Pancit is on point! I had veggie lumpia which I highly recommend, my husband and son loved the pork lumpia. All the flavors and sauces were so delicious!! We went towards closing time but so glad we were able to enjoy our experience. My 1 year old loved my plate Filipino bbq chicken with garlic rice and pancit. He knows good food 😊 😉 this is the spot for you if you’re looking for something not apart of your typical meal. we will definitely be back!!! I found my regular spot. I will also post updated photos of food when we...
