So to start... this review has nothing to do with the servers or the staff, they were excellent and did a great job. My problem is with the food portions and what they use to prep the food... I ordered 1LB of king crab, 1LB of Dungeness crab, and had 3 sides, Corn, red potatoes, and sausage. I also ordered all this to be as HOT AS POSSIBLE on the menu spice chart. When my order came out, they could not figure out what was mine. Finally she figured it out, I got my order and looked at it. Okay portion of crab, but there was Literally 2 red potatoes cut in half to male 4 tiny bite size potatoes In my entire bowl, 2 corn on the cob pieces so the equivalent of one cut in half, and my sausage was missing... I took a bite of the the dipped sauce. It was Luke warm temperature and had zero and I mean ZERO spice... I thought they just gave me the wrong order, but I was assured it was correct. I asked for the sausage and they told me no problem. After 4 bites my potatoes were gone. The Corn went the same. Then I just had some legs left. I asked if this was seriously their hottest dish. The waitress said hold on I have a special thing to fix that. After 40ish minutes she returns with my sausage and the secret hot sauce. She told me to be careful it's hot... I dip my finger in it to try it out... is not hot at all... she states it's just Louisiana hot sauce you can buy at kroger for 2 bucks a bottle... I am disappointed and outraged at this point...
They gave me 48 cents worth of Red potatoes, and 12 cents worth of hot sauce... this meal cost me well into the 140$ mark, and I'm just as hungry when I finish and leave, as I was when I arrived. The food is not Cajun, not authentic, and not enjoyable at all... the portions for the prices are an absolute joke... I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was like 6 or 7 cooks and servers just texting on their phones. And frown at me when I walk by... the only nice person was the server... I did not want to visit this establishment because I had bad experiences in the past here. Same issues... but Joe's crab shack and the smashing crab both shut down unfortunately and I'm stuck with this getto establishment to try again. I am not at all impressed... I will not be back any you all should be ashamed for how you prep food and the portion size for such expensive food... if I pay 100 plus dollars for a meal I should not leave hungry... there was also zero and I mean no none zilch butter on the table... the entire visit was a money waste scam... try something hotter than Louisiana hot sauce for you're secret hot sauce...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was okay, not spectacular. The service was mediocre and the whole steps of service was a complete mess. The biggest issue we had was hardly anything was provided to us in a timely manner, requiring us to have to "ask" for everything. i.e silverware, sauces, salt/pepper, plates, crackers and cocktail sauce for oysters. Etc.. it was like they don't offer it to you unless you decide to ask if you can have it. We had to ask for 100 different things, which ran our server to death. These are things that would just normally come as expected at most restaurants. But here they did not. Server got my wife's order wrong. They took her bag to the back and 15 minutes later they brought it back out. It took them 30 minutes to bring out a side item that I was missing. It was a party of 4 and all of our meals and pieces of our meal came out at different times, and when it did we didnt get any of the accompaniments like we would have normally expected. Overall a disappointing experience, and not to mention it was pricey. We knew it would be rather expensive though since it is seafood. But for the price everything else should have been on par and on point. I worked in restaurants for 25 years, and don't usually complain when I have a bad experience. I just don't go back. But tonight I spoke up to the server and manager and told them how "mediocre" this experience had been and how frustrated I was with having to ask for everything. I even had to ask to have our plates removed from the table after the server came by twice and didnt make an effort to do so. You would think that me piling up a ton of the trash on them would have been a hint that I was done. The whole experience is very messy as well. My wife was literally eating out of a plastic bag without any silverware. She likened it to how our dog eats. We will not be going back. Once was enough for us. Its difficult to find a seafood spot that offers this type of menu here in Nashville. It was a shame that this place did not seem to have their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was recommended to me by a coworker who only said, "It was good seafood." When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the decor, it's like you are on the docks in the bayou. Even the "covid barriers between the booths are sea oriented curtains.
The food is boiled Cajan Seafood. There are a variety of predetermined combos or you can design your own: crawfish, shrimp, dangee crab legs, snow crab legs, whole lobster, clams, etc. Sides include corn, sausage, potatoes, maybe more. These are all boiled in a choice of flavorings and heat levels.
This was my first time here and my friend's first time even eating a crab leg. The waitress (Lori, who grew up in the Gulf) explained everything and even showed my friend how to harvest the meat from the crab legs.
We got the #6 which was shrimp and snow crab with sausage, corn, and potatoes. Although the two of us polished it off, it probably could have feed three to four. We got the Cajun House flavoring with mild heat, a little garlicky, but goooood!
They also had some sort of cheese garlic bread that was great.
They serve an assortment of beers, nut I don't drink so that's all I know on that.
My friend got a slice of cheese cake which was drizzled in chocolate which he said was delicious.... I was too full for desert.
Word of caution, probably NOT a good idea to come straight from church wearing your nice clothes. Even though I wore a bib and rolled up my sleeves, I still spilled on my clothes.
You can either keep the contents in the boil bag in a bucket, or have them dump it in a platter which is what we did.
A bit pricey (ours was about $25 per person, but I normally don't eat seafood) but the experience is with it and the food...
