I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible effort the DeMund family has made in bringing us Pickleball Kingdom. As someone who’s been playing pickleball in Nashville for 10 years, I never imagined we’d have something like this—and now it’s here and feels surreal!
Although I’m not affiliated with Pickleball Kingdom in any way, and don’t know the DeMunds very well, everything I’ve seen suggests they’re genuinely great people who took an enormous financial risk to open this facility. I don’t have the exact figures, but from what I’ve heard, the investment is so monumental it could easily take years off anyone’s life from the stress alone.
I urge all you pickleball fanatics to support this facility—it’s something we’ve all dreamed of having. Let’s come together as a community to back these trailblazers who actually did what many were too afraid to attempt. Opening a facility like this is a huge risk, so let’s show our gratitude by ensuring it thrives. This is a place where we can forge new friendships, get our exercise, and play no matter the weather. This facility can bring the Nashville pickleball community together in ways we’ve never experienced and craved for years. Next time you’re there, grab a drink from behind the counter, buy a paddle if you need one, and most importantly, sign up for a membership. Yes, the cost might be a bit higher than what we’re used to paying for pickleball in Nashville, but in my opinion, it’s a fair price considering the operating costs of a space this size. They’re still ironing out a few details, but I respect their decision to open as soon as possible so we could all start playing. The courts play exceptionally well, and overall, it’s a fantastic place for some truly competitive games.
Cheers to a new era of pickleball...
Read moreI started playing pickleball about three months ago, right when Pickleball Kingdom South Nashville opened, and I have to say—this place is amazing! My wife and I have a membership, and we absolutely love it.
One of the best things about this place is how well it’s run. You can reserve a court to play with friends or just sign up for open play and jump in with other players. The staff is incredibly friendly and customer-oriented, always making sure everyone has a great experience.
A perfect example: One time, there were too many people for a single beginner court, so I mentioned it to the staff. They were super receptive, and the manager himself came out and immediately made another court available for us. That level of customer service is rare and truly appreciated!
Other highlights: ✅ The front staff always greets you with a smile. ✅ The PB 101 coach we had was fantastic and super encouraging. ✅ Even employees stay after their shifts to play and hit balls with the rest of us! ✅ They sell beverages, and there’s even a cute little cart that goes around offering drinks to keep players refreshed. ✅ The atmosphere is positive, welcoming, and fun—they do a great job of keeping everyone in good spirits.
If you love pickleball and don’t want the crazy Nashville weather to affect your game, this is the place to be. I highly recommend signing up—you won’t...
Read moreI recently visited Pickleball Kingdom after hearing about it from a local pickleball friend. I was excited to check out the courts and see how competitive the games would be. Upon arriving, I was immediately impressed by the expansive indoor facility and its amazing outdoor-style courts. The space is massive, with 13 or 14 courts (if I counted correctly), and each one is equipped with a paddle system and fenced off individually to prevent ball interference—a huge plus for maintaining gameplay flow. As someone who plays daily at outdoor courts, where stray balls are a constant issue, I really appreciated this thoughtful design.
The courts themselves are top-notch. I experienced no bad bounces, and my spins felt sharp and consistent throughout my games. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. For a facility of this size that focuses heavily on sports, having only one water fountain feels inadequate. Adding at least two or three more would make a big difference in convenience. Additionally, the noise level inside can be overwhelming, so if you're sensitive to loud environments, this might not be the best spot unless they address the acoustics.
Unfortunately, the biggest downside for me is the pricing. While the facility offers great features, the cost ultimately makes it a dealbreaker for...
