This was for the "Pub Crawl"; short version: Outstanding experience, partly from getting to experience various bars that we might have missed but largely due to our tour guide Darren (aka D'Ro). Great stops including chocolate, frozen vodka lemonade, cider, moonshine and of course beer, all with the local flavor and stories that Darren added. Bonus, domestic beers in some places are MUCH cheaper while there with Darren, so make sure that you order more than what you get as samples! A+ experience. Details: Six of us from three different states got together in April in Nashville, our first time there. About 2 weeks earlier, one of the wives had researched and booked this tour for Friday at noon. Started at Bootleggers, which is a smaller bar on Broadway. Off to the Goo Goo Store for some chocolate, then Big Machine Distillery for some vodka slushies. Crossing back over Broadway, we hit the Whiskey Bent Saloon. After our complementary drinks, we were able to buy domestic bottles much cheaper than the rack rate (we meant to go back and keep dropping Darren's name to see how long we could keep getting cheaper beers, but never made it back). From there walked over to Printer's Alley and hit Alley Kats for some cider. While we were walking, Darren kept the conversation going giving us background on the bars, buildings and area all along the way. We ended at Bowie's, the only pure rock-n-roll bar in town. Again it was nice to find these places, because we probably never would have found the last two spots but really, Darren is the key to the tour. His stories, jokes and ice-breakers for the group were just classic. If you go when its not baseball season, just see if you can get him to call David Price or at the very least, start talking baseball on the tour. ...

Read moreI want to make it clear that the issue I had with this tour had nothing to do with the guide, who was amazing, or the bars we visited, which were fun (Alley taps, whiskey bent, bootleggers inn, big machine, and Bowie's).
However, it's kind of false advertising and not really worth the money. The company needs to update their description of the tour and what is included. You do go to 5 bars and experience 5 different drinks, but don't count on food. You get to share "waffle fries" (more like chips) with 6+ other people at the last stop (Sharing food with strangers post covid? Yuck.) The itinerary also promised line dancing at one of the bars and that definitely didn't happen (not too torn up about that honestly, but again false advertising annoys me).
As for the promised "swag," we got a tiny fanny pack made out of super cheap material. We did NOT get the promised Mason jar OR any discounts or coupons. This was honestly the sticking point for me. I was looking forward to the Mason jar as I collect glassware and we definitely could have used discounts. That cheap fanny pack is going straight to goodwill.
We did have fun and our guide was knowledgeable, but for $70+ it wasn't worth it. This tour should cost $50 max. Book...
