M.L.Rose Neighborhood Pub - Capitol View — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Ordered a pick up side salad. I normally don't care for ranch anywhere but my coworker told me they made it in house and it was excellent so I decided to try it and not was she right!! Super creamy and thick, really flavorful, doesn't just taste like mayo (which I hate) and dill it was so rich and delicious! Salad was really fresh, too. Definitely coming back to eat in one day. The black lady that answered the phone and rung me up, and also made my salad was also awesome I did not get her name.

Updated 4/20/24:"Josh L" I think my waiter was. I didn't like how I felt he treated me. He acted like he didn't want to wait on me. I was just trying something new there on my lunch break. Asked me what I wanted to drink and I said "a sweet tea". He brought me an unsweetened tea. The worst thing that could ever happen to someone with a straw. I got a nice lady waitress to bring me the right drink. He then took about 15-20 to take my order I told him I needed a box and the check when he got back.. Didn't get it. Now I'm late to go back to work. Also when I paid with my car my first CC did not work because it was locked. He had a smug look on his face (to me). I decided to use a different credit card and it worked. I wasn't going to give any tip but decided to just only give 18% (I wanted to give him $1).he then took the card reader away from me after it printed my receipt, and pressed thumbs up for my experience. He knew he did not take care of me and I was going to press the red thumbs down. This is the whole reason for this review. I would have let it slide if he didn't do that. How do I know he's not going to try and give himself...

An excellent place for craft beer. 2 for 1 Tuesday is an incredible value, and the massive selection is stacked with delicious drinks. The Nashville hot cheese curds are okay by themselves, but with some extra hot seasoning to give them some kick and the house made garlic ranch dip they were great. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and took great care of me while I was there. I'm excited to visit again and try their burgers.

On the second visit, my wife and I were not impressed. The burger I orderd was good, but nothing I would recommend to anyone looking for a great burger. The service in a booth was minimal, to put it nicely. We ordered, someone else brought out the food, shortly after which we were asked by the original waitress if it was as ordered, and then we didn't see any service for about another half hour and our glasses were empty for the better part of this. I don't expect 5⭐ level service out of a place like this; it's a gastropub, but we essentially got no service other than someone asking our order.

On the third visit we took bar seating and promptly received our orders and we're well taken care of.

All in all, I'd say this is a pretty good bar; one that I will definitely go back to and make sure on those visits I sit at the bar, but a mediocre restaurant.

Final update: after a few more visits and sitting on the patio with normal wait service, I feel confident in saying the service at tables has improved, and having tried a few more of the burgers I have found the other options better than the one I first chose and genuinely really enjoy the food and atmosphere of the place and elevate my review...

We are frequent, local guests at this location. Food and service is ALWAYS fantastic; not tonight. We got off work and headed over by 11:05pm. We were ready to spend over $100 on food and drinks, willing to even order Togo. Haley M. was bartending with multiple guests in the restaurant. As we were waiting to order, there was a 4 top in the dining area just placing there order for dine in. She told us the kitchen closed at 11 on a Saturday night when we have ordered by 11:15pm multiple other times. We ended up just ordering 2 green tea shots which she made plus an extra shot for herself which she placed right in front of us on her bar mat. We watched her zig zag through her bar and walk into corners and struggle through her bar. She told the group of 3 right next to us that it was last call at 11:15 and I was like “what this isn’t normal”. I paid for my drinks and left… it is ridiculous that someone would lie to guests! I guess we can only go on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday when a sober bartender works. If you want your place to work get rid of this person. We would’ve taken a picture of the extra shot that she made, but our phone was dead because we were at work all night. This definitely won’t stop us from going there because their food is spectacular and there’s not many places in Nashville that do a good turkey burger, which I can’t eat red meat so that’s a big deal to me. We just felt the need to let management know that they’re drunk bartender on Saturday night is hindering their overall sales.
