First of all, the two guys in electronics were extremely nice and professional. They’re the reason this review isn’t a one star. I went to this store from another store 20 miles away to pick up the $449 PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition with the Astro game included. So I drove over and was told it wasn’t in stock. They tried sending me to another store. I asked if I could buy the one without the game included and if they could just match the 449 price instead of the 499 price and I didn’t need that game. He said he’d make a call but unfortunately he was told that he couldn’t. I thanked him and the other gentleman that helped me because they were polite. I went to the customer service desk because I was genuinely trying to legitimately do business with them. Waited in line patiently and the lady recommended that I order the product online and pick up at the store. I explained that this is the second store I’m getting errors with, is it possible to price match the same product with less for the same price which comes out to 10 percent off so I don’t have to drive an additional 15 miles then back home. She said no we don’t offer problem resolutions like that. So I went ahead and asked for a manager and stepped off to the sides. Didn’t want people waiting in line wasting time like I was. The manager came up and apologized that they didn’t have what I wanted but insisted that there is nothing they can do. I double checked saying that I’m just trying to get the lesser product for the Same price as the one that comes with more. I see those 10% circle club stickers, I read the hiring incentives and you offer up to 20% off on things regular priced. I was just asking for a price match on a regular ps5 without the game that I was inconvenienced over. She said it’s impossible and they can’t price match it or give the 10% off to match the price. So I went outside and called Walmart, the lady I spoke felt bad that I had to deal with that. She has one to the side for me that’s she’s discounting because they too didn’t have the model on hand and they said they would price match it due to being the same thing with a bit less. So I think it would be nice to see better problem resolution going forward here. Sending people store to store without having a system of holding or verifying it is hard on the customer when the system inventory is wrong. On top of that I’m not trying to cheat anyone. I was just eagerly trying to pay you 500 dollars for a lesser product and even forgive the mistake of the other store. I shop at Target often because my wife loves the atmosphere but overall this was an incredibly dissatisfying experience. I hope this at least helps in training. Going to go to the company that apologized, sympathized, and also care for a customer that took...
Read moreThe quality of your merchandise, it far exceeds Walmart. My trip to Target was for umbrellas. As soon as I walked inside the store, I asked an employee whereere the umbrellas were located. She was busy stocking the dollar shelves nearby the entrance. She stopped stocking the shelves to guide me to where the umbrellas were located. On top of that she answered all of my questions with thought and sincerity and took a moment to demonstrate an umbrella I was unfamiliar with. The day prior, I visited the same Target and was surprised with the customer service on the floor. They were on top of it; calling someone to assist me immediately and checking the backroom for additional stock for a pair of children's rain boots. Target, was this a fluke or is this really how you do business now? Let me say, you have a loyal customer if this continues. Please emphasize how far great customer service goes with your sales team. The reason why I say this is because you are competing with Amazon. Online, you already know that. I shop online 99% of the time. To walk in your store and receive the kind of customer service I received, will only bring me back in more often. In real estate there is a saying: location, location and location. In retail, it should be: customer service, customer service and customer service. Thank you for taking the time to...
Read more0 star here. First of all, I ordered online for convenience and Target delivered wrong items so I needed to drive just to return the items. Wasted my gas and time for this. When I was there in customer service, there was a misunderstanding in the total amount of refund. Customer service David (bald white old guy) in return/exchange department is rude and arrogant. It turns out I am right. I figured out myself about my credit card charges when I got home. He just didn't fully explain because he is pissed. If he can't handle his job well, unhappy and doesn't care about the company, he can get out any time.
There are so many people needs a job and for sure can handle the customer service very well. I am one of those who worked before in this kind of industry and for almost a decade as a senior supervisor, I never snapped despite of work loads and tiredness.
I know "customer is always right" is not the thing anymore which is 100% I agree because some customers are abusive and mean. However, employees should still be reminded especially this guy that customers will always remember the company's name, not theirs..that's why employees should handle it with care. I'd rather go to Walmart instead of this...
