My fiance and I went to the mall yesterday. He was talking to me about how much he loves GK Grill so I decided to try it yesterday!! I got the regular entree bowl and it was $14.95!!! :DD I think that was a pretty good price for all the food they gave me!! I was able to eat the rest for dinner yesterday haha 😆 The food was really good too!!! :DD The guy who worked the cash register and the other employees who cooked on the line did a great job in preparing my food!!!!! (I ordered at 3pm) :DDD I told the cashier I had never ordered from GKG before and he kindly explained what they offered and how the foods are ordered!!! :DDD I was very fascinated by the man cooking the food on the circular grill and I was watching him very intensely haha.
I do have a single complaint though. The piping hot food was put into a styrofoam container straight off the grill and when I finished my food, I saw small marks from the hot noodles basically imprinting themselves into the styrofoam because of the heat. I highly suggest they make a change to a more environmentally friendly and non-styrofoam container so I don't have to worry about the styrofoam's chemicals leaking into my food from the piping hot...
Read moreThe first time I went here, I was disappointed in the taste. I think I was spoiled with the flavors of the other genghis khan location back in Torrance's Del Amo mall. That location they smother the whole meal in sauces that it pools underneath the noodles. With this location, there is barely any broth left over. It's as if they are hogging all the flavor. The entire meal leaves something to be desired. I am left feeling like I could have eaten more despite the portion size being big enough for two people to share. It also sucks that you do not get to self serve your own meats and vegetables so you are forced to watch the employee prepare your bowl. I came back a second time hoping it would be better, and it slightly was, but not enough for me to come back...
Read moreThe food is ok, it lacked flavor and my main problem was the guy helping me. He made a face when my daughter didn't understand the word "charola" (tray), we are Mexican although my daughter's Spanish has a bit of room for improvement. Nevertheless that is not how you treat your clients, there was music being played very loud and when he asked me if rice or noodles I didn't completely understand so I said "I am sorry?" and he then said it in Spanish: "Arrrrrrrrroz o noodles"...there was no need for this, to make matters worse I asked for rice and they cooked my food with noodles. The rude guy mentioned he was from Colombia, so if anybody that reads my post has any authority over him, please make sure he treats future customers with courtesy...
