How the mighty have fallen. Tajima is well-known to me since I moved to SD in 2014 to have high quality, good service, and great atmosphere. Twice now, I am truly disappointed. Today, the staff looked unhappy, slow, and miserable. Their food quality speaks for themselves. I bought two chicken kansu buns and takoyaki. The buns were not steamed through and the takoyaki was not cooked all the way. Despite what I thought were easy to cook considering most of it was deep fried including the takoyaki ( yes, it's deep fried), it wouldn't take too long. Looking at my receipt, it took more than 35 minutes, and the food was still undercooked. Two unsatisfactory visits are enough for me to call this location a failed, mismanaged franchise. The egg in the ramen is served cold. Only the broth made it seem warm until you bite into it and noticed it's cold. I gave an extra star because I used to be a weekly loyalist.

Hi everyone, so we came to Plaza Bonita to hang out and maybe have a coffee. I saw this new restaurant called Tajima Ramen and said, "Let's give it a review." I immediately wanted the veggie Ramen because I have in mind what's really good. So when I received the bowl, btw it is a healthy portion for $14.50, I said, is there any way that I could get a little more broth? They said no. I said I would be doing a review, and I'm going to be honest. They said it would cost an additional $2 or $4 for extra broth because it's premeasured. I get that. Being in PB is expensive. It's not the guys fault. He's doing his job. So that's the only reason why I put a lesser star. The food was stellar. Very delicious. I didn't ask for an egg because it would add up and be too expensive. I still recommend the place and hope u give it a try! I am a repeat customer now!

For being a ramen joint in the mall it was really not that bad. I really recommend if it's your first time to go to actual locations not located in the mall. That atmosphere of course is in the mall so it's going to be loud, But the service is quick and the food was pretty decent.

The first few times I have went here I found the food to be decent. I usually got the tantanmen or the tajima red ramen and each time the staff delivered top notch service with a hot steaming bowl of ramen. However, my most recent visit here have left me wondering if it is worth coming back. I ordered the tajima red ramen once again and with a side of spam musubi. I usually get a text saying my order is ready and stay nearby if they call my name. Well, neither were done and by the time I realized my bowl was done, the broth was lukewarm and the noodles chewy. What also put me off was that the broth reached halfway of the bowl, not even topped off. I was very disappointed and will not be coming here anytime soon for...
