AMC Plaza Bonita 14 — Local services in National City

So it was date night and we went to see American Graffiti on national movie night. Great flick.

Everything was going great and then a group of 12 Black teenagers came rolling in. They were loud, kept turning on their phone lights and shining in people's faces and basically causing a stir. They all went up toward the top and continued talking loud.

No one went and got the management but looking back we should have. Out of nowhere those teenagers started throwing ice. A chunk hit me and my wife so I stood up and had words with them. They of course shouted back and when I turned around to sit down they throw a large soda and hit me square in the back. Then they threw a BEER can and hit my wife. These jerks got up, all 12 of them, and started filing out. On the way out one of them spit on me and ran into the hallway.

Amazingly the AMC security was already there. They knew these jerks were trouble and yet they still let them in. Once in the hallway, we followed them out to get security and the management, one of these convicts slapped me. The security guard chased them.

In all this management never once came out. They never asked if anyone was hurt. They never offered a refund. They wouldn't come out of their offices. Great customer service.

So what was the end result. Well I had to call the police as the AMC security could not go into the mall. The police arrived, gave chase, tackled them and made 2 arrests. Yes only 2 out of 12. Both jerks were charged with assault, resisting arrest, bodily injury to a peace officer. It turned out both have various brushes with the law and one of them is now being charged with a felony.

Thanks AMC for carrying so much. You showed so much concern for our well being. The way you came out to check on us. The gracious offer to refund our money won't be forgotten. NOT. You were utterly useless and absentee. You should be ashamed of your lack of concern.

Families should avoid AMC at all costs, especially if you value your safety and your family's. AMC doesn't.

*UPDATE AMC still has never reached out or responded. That would be thug that assaulted me got held in jail for 2 weeks and pleaded guilty. His sentence was 6 months in boot camp.

**UPDATE 2 The Chula Vista police caught the 2nd Jackhole. He got sentenced to 6 months in boot camp also.

Both of these delinquents were in violation of their probation since MARCH 2023 but CA law prohibits the probation officers from going out to round them up as violating. Great policy California. Keep breeding the next generation criminals. The probation officer said " If you're a criminal then CA is the state to be in."...

I was visiting California and decided to see a movie at amc . My friend and I purchased food and when I bit into a churro my teeth hurt because they were so burnt and hard . We wanted to see John wick so we waited until the movie ended and asked for a refund . Jamie the manager at the location at AMC Plaza Bonita 14 3050 Plaza Bonita Rd., National City, California 91950 Told us we should have stopped watching the movies and brought them immediately. She said she could not accurately verify that something was wrong with it and accused me of eating eveything and expecting a refund (I literally bit one out of the 5 and 4 and a half churros were left .) I explained to her I never refunded anything before so I wouldn’t know I just really wanted to enjoy the movie I paid to watch with my best friend for her birthday. It sucks that I decided to pick amc for her birthday because Jamie the manger started saying I ate eveything ( 4 and a half out the five churros were still there !!!!) and that she wouldn’t help us and that she would have us removed. Not once did I get upset or raise my voice . The security watched us and the rest of the staff refused to help my friend when she asked to speak to someone else. Jamie the white woman decided that me and a black woman made her feel unsafe and called the cops and me and my friend over some $10 churros. I will be pressing discrimination charges against Jamie and the company as well as filing a false police report . I did nothing to make her feel “unsafe” and when the cops came her and her co workers were laughing as if it was a joke like they don’t know what’s been going on in the news with black people and cops . The staff at this theater is amazing. Today I had to go into the theater for help with their loyalty program because I wasn’t sure what number was on the account and I wanted to take advantage of their discount tickets on Tuesdays. While standing in line I saw a Karen in her natural habitat berating one of the employees. I understand that all Karens are born out of frustration, a sprinkle of entitlement, and a dash of inconvenience but this woman was out of control. From what I could tell she wanted some version of a $5 refund for 2 tickets equating to $10. The employee was calm, respectful and was trying to help her. He did everything short of offering her money out of his own wallet and he tried is best to explain to her that he couldn’t do what she was asking and amazingly this wasn’t an undercover boss situation so he couldn’t change AMC’s company policy about whatever was making her upset. Another employee came out to help me get my tickets and this women just kept going on and on and on. Finally I snapped and offered her money out of my own wallet and reminded her that whatever she was upset about wasn’t worth the $10 and I would give it to her just so she would leave him alone. This women did not like being spoken to the way she was speaking to the employees and had the audacity to try and say she was going to have security called on me. If you are Reynard and you are reading this - you’re amazing and any company would be lucky to have you as an employee, I hope you get hazard pay for tonight.
