Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs — Local services in National City

We’ve gone to UTC fast Fix but the owner retired so we decided to try the Plaza Bonita store location. Service was great. The young lady in the front as well as the man that services the watch, he may have been the owner.

This time though he stated the watch isn’t at all working even with a new battery and that the repair maybe around $250/300. He said battery isn’t the issue. He said leaving a dead battery inside the watch for a long period caused damage to the movement and it needs major repair. We almost did it but we decided to go to a Movado store. They ran a test and nothing was wrong with the watch but they didn’t have the right size batteries so we ordered the battery for the 11 yr old Movado that has had a dead battery left inside in the past.

We also asked fast fix to look at the other watch that was still under warranty according to Movado. He said it was not under warranty, and that the battery inside wasn’t the issue, it’s the watch as well. We took the watch to Movado, and in fact it is our watch was still under warranty and Fast Fix returned our watch without the new battery that was inside. The battery was missing. Movado replaced the battery and gave us the name and address of a certified Movado watch repair shop.

I do believe that before paying for a major repair, you should definitely get a few places to run a test if it’s a battery issue or if it is in fact in need of a “major repair”.

I’m giving 4 stars because they refunded what we paid and not 5 due to the bad warranty Info they gave us and the missing brand new battery. Maybe he was so busy he forgot to place our battery back in the watch before closing it and handing...

My Casio Pathfinder watch is 15 years old. The resin band needed to be replaced for only the second time.

After supplying Amazon with the model number of my watch and Amazon's model number of the same replacement band, resulted in the wrong watch band being sent to me twice.

I was in Plaza Bonita Mall and asked the watch dealers for a replacement band. No luck. I remembered the Jewelry and Watch Repair store near the food court. Stephanie assured me she could get the correct band and her great co worker would install the new band.

Stephanie would contact me when the band was delivered. She asked to keep my watch to check that the right replacement band was delivered.

She called in about 10 days that my new band was installed on my watch. All was professionally completed. Yes, it was just a resin watch band.
