I went to Adler’s on a whim to see if they had a watch I was looking to purchase. They didn’t have the model in stock, but I wanted to pick up some OEM spring bars for my watch. I spoke with Adam for about half an hour about different brands of watches. He was more than happy to show me anything I wanted to see, and even volunteered to show me the workings of some of the more exclusive references they sold. He even sent me home with a Patek Philippe catalogue. I’ve spent time at Lee Michaels looking around on multiple occasions. The salespeople there didn’t want to give me the time of day. Adam not only treated me with the utmost respect, but he even managed to remember the reference of my watch when the vendor needed more information for ordering my parts. All in all, I give Adler’s a perfect 5/5 rating when it comes to customer service. If I had to give Adam a review of his own, it would be a 6/5. The man is welcoming, accommodating, and an absolute pleasure to speak with. He’s a treasure. I look forward to dealing with him again in the future, as I know that he’ll see that all my needs are taken care of!

I’ve had phenomenal customer service experiences shopping at Adler’s and I recommend the Canal Street location highly. I always look forward to visiting when I’m in the quarter. In particular, I suggest connecting with the friendly, professional, and knowledgeable Adam Schwartz if you’re looking for a watch. Whether it’s for Tudor, Grand Seiko, or other fine timepieces, you should make Canal Street your first stop in New Orleans…then cross canal to celebrate your new watch with a Sazerac!

I recently bought a Cartier Panthere from Adam at Adler's. I thought my wife would like a Cartier, but I didn't know much about their watches. Adam showed me a number of ladies Cartiers and helped me choose the right watch. While he had a gold and steel version of the watch I wanted in stock, the exact configuration wasn't available. He worked quickly to order the exact watch I wanted. My wife loves it. Without Adams help, I doubt I would've settled on the right choice.

This review is for the Lakeside Mall location.

DO NOT TAKE PLATINUM JEWELRY HERE TO BE REPAIRED

A few years ago I had an antique platinum engagement ring re-tipped there. The tips were shaped like claws, but over the years it had worn down and I wanted to have them redone so the center diamond would not fall out. Because of the good reputation this store had in New Orleans I felt this would be a good place to have the repair done properly.

My initial contact was a floor salesman and he was very helpful and nice. Answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The older woman you talk to for repairs is a different story. I don't understand how a store like this can have a employee like this and still keep their customers. She was rude and condescending. I guess like too many places in New Orleans they depend more on their name than providing quality service.

Back to the repair. When I described my repair with the representative they sounded like they understood what I wanted and said they could do the repair. When I got the ring back a few weeks later, instead of the tips looking like the claws I previously had they now looked like drops of solder with no detail. They weren't even similar. On top of this, the repaired section appeared to have a yellowish tint. When I brought this up to the salesman (a different one than I had previously dealt with) he told me "it will fade with time." If anyone has ever seen the old British comedy "Are You Being Served" this sounded like "It will ride with wear." Not being familiar with platinum repairs, I accepted this answer with some doubt and left with my ring.

A year ago after talking with a friend who is a jeweler out of state, she told me to send her the ring so she could see for herself. After seeing it for herself, she told me that Adler's HAD NEARLY RUINED THE RING BY USING WHITE GOLD ON PLATINUM!!! She is from San Francisco and is now a jeweler in Minnesota and expressed how disappointed she was with Adler's as Adler's has a national reputation as a good business.

The ring has now been repaired correctly but it also cost me 5x the amount from the original Adler's repair. Combined with their deception, outright lie, and poor customer service they have lost me as a customer forever. I would also not recommend their business either for jewelry/gift purchases or repairs to...

After receiving and email advertisement for a Wedgwood cross I decided to order one, because it brought back memories of my grandmother's Christmas tree. To my surprise it arrived in only 2 days with a personalized Thank You note! Incredible service and a beautiful addition to our tree.

It's very easy to write an article about a bad purchase experience that upset you and made your blood boil. On the other hand there is that mediocre one that left you some what satisfied. And lastly the truly great experience when you leave with more than you expected.

Last year after hurricane Isaac I lost my wedding band. It was very loose as I had trimmed down quite a bit. I had continuously put off resizing. Devastated I searched through all the debris and garbage thinking I had lost it during the clean up.

Last month a colleague, during a discussion, asked what was that gold shinny thing under my desk!!

I immediately placed on my key chain where it wouldn't fall off my hand. Next I planned my trip to Adlers. Why Adlers? Their reputation, past work I've seen, and a promise I made long ago.

Upon entering the Lakeside store I was warmly greeted and asked if I need any assistance? I promptly replied yes and explained the work I required. He measured my finger and we agreed on the size of 11.25. We measured the current ring size of 12.5! “Wow that quite a difference!” He proceeded to record my contact information. When he came to the return date Tom asked if next Tuesday would be satisfactory. Since it was lost for almost a year, that seamed very quick to me. Then I described a decorative original feature and asked if they could add this. He wrote down the description and told me they wold try.

When I went to retrieve my ring I was warmly greeted again. I presented my repair ticket. Spotting Tom Donnelly, I told him I was there to get my ring. He open the package and showed the sized RENOVATED ring. It was as beautiful as it did on my wedding day!! I was so much more than satisfied. I complimented them on the work, thanked everyone and left.

I immediately went to show my daughter who also works at Lakeside. I then snapped a photo and sent it to my wife.

I would definitely recommend Adler's to anyone needing a purchase or any jeweler's...

Adler's on Canal Street is an A+ business and I have had nothing but an outstanding time working with Anita during my time as a new customer this year.

I first visited Adler's while on my honeymoon earlier in 2020. I immediately fell in love when I saw the outside and walked in. I was actually looking for Rolex authorized dealers because there aren't really any where I live! I was 100x more excited to walk in and find that Adler's is a very early dealer of Patek Philippe in America. Patek being the maker of watches of my dreams Anita let me spend all the time I desired looking at the Patek's in the cases.

During that first visit I saw they had an impressive selection of Rolex, Cartier, Tudor, and other brands. Cartier stood out to me a lot because I rarely get to see cartier too. AND they had a Black Bay 58 on a strap in the case. A very hard piece to find in stock somewhere. I tried it on with excitement and decided I would like one for myself!

I visited the store 2x during that trip because I just loved the place so much, and I left there with some watch catalogs and magazines and Anita's contact info.

At a later date, I purchased a Black Bay 58 on a bracelet from Anita and she sent it gift wrapped in Adler's beautiful wrap and ribbon. I'm very excited to have made a purchase from Adler's and know it won't be my last!

As a parting note - Adler's is the coolest jewelry store I have ever been to! It felt so special to purchase a watch from this historic jeweler that has been open near 130 years. Their professional staff can help you with all of your needs and I highly recommend...
